You've obviously being playing poker for a good while Tikay, how would you say the game has changed V your style over the past decade ?
Obviously with the internet it's changed big style, but how much have you adjusted yourself ?
Regards and enjoying the diary still.

OK, SlowMo.
Is this another one of your terrible jokes, Tikay?
No, I just fell in a heap. My internet failed at home, I've been mega-busy, & afterwards, I sort of fell asleep for two days, but I'm better now, full of the joys of spring, frisky, & raring to go. So I'll post the Slow-Mo story tonight. Oh no - I'm doing the Show. Tomorrow then - nope, in the Studio from 10am until 4pm. Thursday then. Before I go to the Broadway for the £500.

£100 on Sunday night, by the way, & I was so pleased for him, as did, & ditto, bookiebasher. What a nice comp that is, with enough chips & time to mess about a bit.
My "crippling-hand" in that was quite interesting, a real difficult call, which I eventually made. World-Class, as Thewy would describe it. Like, World-Class bad.
I played the cash later, & was fortunate to get out of trouble after being £700 down, in a £2,200 Pot, which fell my way, but not before I'd done some serious sphincter aerobics. I flopped a beauty, but it was oh-so-vulnerable, & Matey Boy put me to the test big-time. Afterwards, he wondered why I'd taken so long to call - that's easy - £2.2k is a serious amount of mullah for a working lad. And, in truth, many will say it was an easy-auto-call - but it was actually a bad call I think.
We were playing 5 card Hi-Lo, & I'd been dealt
. Some lively pre-action followed, & three of us saw this flop.......
So, Top Set. But after I bet out, Matey Boy came over the top for £500 more...... I called (yes, shoulda pushed) & it got worse/better on the turn, as I picked up a flush draw, the money all went in, quickly this time, but I got it home safe & sound, lucky boy.
Amazingly, astonishingly, Matey Boy mucked on the end, so my A-6 Low was good, too, which I'd assumed was dead. (Though I lost a relatively small side-pot to a better low).
Never mind what Matey Boy had - maybe nothing, just trying to bully me off, never difficult that - but in hindsight, I think it was a bad call, even with top set. I'm pulling to half only really - or thought I was - & it's gotta be assumed he had some sort of low straight wrap. (Turn & River were both paint). I'm curious as to whether a good Omaha player woulda had to think so long & hard before Calling - or even Passing. I know it really exercised me.
Pass preflop I think, your hand is not great. Against a good player who knows you play mostly premiums, he'll most likely be holding a full wrap with the nut-low that can't be counterfeited by your hand for the low, then you can argue for passing the flop since he has half locked up and is freerolling you for the other half. Folding preflop negates this. Against a random Mateyboy though, you're probably right to call, though I would still be uncomfortable about it.

I def call preflop with this hand. ok you dont have a great low hand but then we also know the low doesnt come all of the time. Plus you have 2 of the 4 aces. So with multi way action preflop and then 3 seeing the flop in happy where i am on the flop. I would never bet this flop and ill make the call in multi way action can argue the point to pass heads up. A check call on the flop could keep the action 3 way. There is no reason to believe we are winning the low on the flop therefore what do we win by betting it. Gonna be tough to make someone pass the nut low here so as said they should be freerolling on you for the scoop. The question isnt really did you play well or not but how bad did the other guy play it. How is he moving in here without being able to beat an A6 low so what if he has a wrap on the flop. if he has 3569 for the wrap then he beats your low. Unless he has misread his hand for the low when he misses his straight very strange play indeed. would be interested to know who it was.

He is a student from Loughborough uni, Chris I think. Fairly sure (but not certain) he showed 65 as he mucked.

No sympathy vegas boy - you left us - just live with it.
Hinge and Bracket the other night were wandering about a little lost, it was like they were waiting for you to fire up the table. The cash has definitely lost it's spark - then Neil/Nial (sp?) sat down wearing a jacket similar to Tikays bus drivers one but in peach and everyone got up and left - literally.
When we come to Vegas we will bring beans by the case load.

Can you imagine if Tikay and Neel exchanged clothes and bling for the night

I did not know that - I feel strangely attracted towards him. Must be the jacket...

At The Broadway last night, there was a Free Buffet for the players. Not the best Buffet ever served, but about normal for The Broadway, where the Restaurant serves the finest of fine cuisine (not a word you hear in Casinos very often) but their buffets always & only ever consist of microwaved chips, dodgy looking chicken & tough burgers. Fair to say, most would agree, that Buffets are The Broadway's achilles heel, but it's free, so we can't complain.
The Gent serving the Buffet was very strict - very strict indeed. One helping, and EITHER burger or chicken, no mix n match. One Con Cronin got turned away by Mr Buffet Man, which resulted in a considerable amount of huffing & puffing.
We were graced by the presence of one individual who had the wit, presence of mind, & insatiatable appetite to beat the system though.
After wolfing down his first free buffet - three hamburgers - which he then claimed were inedible (after eating all three), he promptly removed his light-coloured jacket, revealing a turquoise shirt, which was, like his waistline, ample enough to fool Buffet Man into giving him a second free meal, chicken this time.
Name that blonde.
You get one guess.
