Came across the Quest channel yesterday. I saw a programme about the years building up to the second World War and the plot to assassinate Hitler in 1938. At the end of one of the parts, the suspense music started and the voiceover left us with a cliffhanger about whether they'd succeed.
Kind of tough to go along with the suspense tbh.
They do the same thing at the end of every episode of The Archers.

That'll be £2.73 please Walter.
Here's £5 Doris.
Oh no, I don't have any change.

What, no spoiler? Was looking forward to watching that.

Was it an American programme, perchance?

Don't watch the plane programme, would be an hour of your life you wouldn't get back. Terrible experts, appalling production values, laugh out loud presenting. To a semi-rec-pro pprune geek you'll hate it. Much has now been suprceded by overnight news anyway
Yup, watched it, confirmed shite.

No, I don't think so. British voiceover and the Yanks weren't mentioned at all. Quest is part of the Discovery Network.

Apparently, we now have a possible hijack situation with the Malaysian plane, with signals being picked up by satelites for up to seven hours after the planes transponders were deliberately turned off.
What is going with the authorities here? How come they know nothing and deny all possible explanations one minute, then suddenly come up with all this information after a week of wasted time and resources?
Methinks there is some serious ass covering going on behind the scenes.
I think you are right. From the outset, the "official" announcements have not tallied with the known facts.
If it were not for the tragedy of over 200 lives lost (well, probably.....?), this would be an awesome pot-boiler.
This is probably a daft question, but if anyone where alive on board would they be able to communicate with one of the presumably hundreds of phones/laptops they would have with them?
Or could any of these devices be tracked like they do on land?

Oh dear.
Another sign of the downward spiral our documentries are taking then.
Over dramatic music, frequent 'flashbacks' and random celebs who haven't got a clue what there on about.
Did you see 'The British' on Sky by any chance?
I'm still cringing.

To answer your question Tikay, I'm in Macau, day three of a two month jaunt.
Having a blast, it's just like Vegas! Well not quite, but closest place in the world to it anyway I imagine.
Mr Greekstein should have joined me already but alas he's a little disorganised so will be along in a few days.

I'd never have recognized this very famous young lady in a thousand guesses.

Eh?
She looks exactly the same, except with one or two visits to Greggs under her belt.

Let him watch it. Let him waste hours of his life.
That's what I've been doing on that silly plane forum
since he posted the link!
Don't understand half of it. But still can't stop reading all 3 million pages or whatever there is.
Ha! It is SO addictive though.
It certainly is. Story has taken a new twist this morning too.
