The only mistake you could have made in your bust hand would have been folding.

Another excellent performance - onto the next and keep enjoying them!

You made a good decision to get the hand in, can't do anything about the way the 5 cards come down. Sometimes we hit rubbing deuces instead of him hitting running threes. That's poker.

Glad you enjoyed yourself.

Morning.

Stakers Reports from Golden Nugget & WSOP to follow, am out of time.

Today, my last scheduled Tourney, the $240 Big O @ Golden Nugget. (Big O is 5 card PLO8).

It starts in exactly 1 hour, so gotta dash.

Might try a new tactic today - have the choc ices BEFORE I play.

Stakers will be delighted to know I will not be in attendance.

I believe there's a $150 PLO8 comp at 2pm today, tikay. Downside is it's at Planet Hollywood, but I'd hope the afternoon crowd won't be as traumatic as the evening. I mean, look at the photo they use on their website for poker at PH:

I was surprised to see John Black has grown his hair long. Suits him, mind.

If things don't go to plan Downtown and you fancy a flickerinnerment, let me know and I might join you.

Best of luck today.

Skip the choc-ices, and head across the street to the frozen yoghurt place, it's very good.

Thanks Tal Bloke, and was great to see you yesterday. Well, until you bokked me. I had been in that tourney for 16 hours, and it took you exactly two hands to get me busted. Disgraceful scenes.

Planet Hollywood? Hmm, doubtful. If there is one room in Vegas I detest, it's PH. Bloody loud music everywhere, poor lighting which means I struggle to see the board, and daft structures. That apart, love the place, love it. Anyway, good luck there, TID with the MOF and all that. And remember, what would Brad do? He the man.

Strewth, these corporate casino promo photos are utterly absurd, don't you think? All casinos use them, it's bizarre. The PR companies and photographers must be laughing their socks off.

All go here.

Holding A-3-xxx and no extensions (wheel excepted) on this flop.....

 Two Clubs

I bet out, and it went raise re-raise.

I found the fold, as this could get messy, I could get freerolled here and quartered,

All the chips of both players - 2 x 15,000 - were in the middle in a heartbeat.

The 5 turned (would have given me the wheel) and the 7 rivered.

Both players had the wheel, one had the high straight, so I would have ended up with a sixth.

Felt good after that.

Not so good after the next hand though.......

Found a pre flop raise with this beauty..,...

  two spades

Raise it from the button, 2 callers.

How much did we enjoy this flop?

Bla bla bla, lost 5,000 on the hand.

Thank you Natters.

I will reply to that, and all the other kind, similar posts, texts, & PM's, once my poker schedule ends, which is tonight.

It's all about getting our priorities right. Poker is important, see?

Pardon me for a late reference to The Duke whom we were discussing recently and his pretentiousness but I have unearthed a gem that was buried deep within my memory which I hope and feel will be of interest.

I seem to remember that in the 2005 WSOP you were posing as a duke for a goodly time in the tourney before incurring one of your many penalties in Las Vegas, this particular one for the heinous crime of F-Bombing.

It seemed to work for you too as IIRC you cashed in that one for your first gold flag, I'm not sure it was for $137K though.
