You can get onto forums via the laptops, so it's not difficult to access an instant chatroom, or even PM each other via blonde.
What is the rationale behind mobiles being banned at the table? Surely, the same should go for laptops?

lets people play on laptops at a live table? That's ridiculous.
Especially given they don't allow mobile phones because of the collusion risk -
has Simon Trumper not heard of MSN?
Allow them to play on
DT
D
on their laptops away from the table by all means, but playing at the table is crazy, and leads to the situation Tikay described.
you can only play on the site, you cant log into your msn from the laptops..its not the players personal laptops but ones they get from the cash desk.
ive only played on a laptop once in
DT
D
and that was a sat for the £300 last month..i was on tikays table and i was aware it was annoying him(sorry hun)..to be hounest i found it difficult to play both at the same time
no MSN but a poker site. so chatbox ftw
Yep, just sit in a HU table, sitting out and you could do it!

For the avoidance of doubt, I was not suggesting anyone at DTD had used the Lappie-At-Table Facility for improper means. They don't need to with me sat there, in my current "form".......
Tonight I've promised myself - no daft bluffs. They never get through. Ever.

I'm off to
DT
D
shortly, but Tom (Red) won't be there, which is sad, as I've not seen him at a "Live" Poker Tourney since he hit his railings problem. He was playing
DT
D
Cash several nights, and the Sunday Night jobbie most every week, & it's twice the fun when your bud is there.
I'm probably off to Manchester to play the first three GUKPT Side-Events tomorrow thro Wednesday, & I mentioned it to Tom, dangled the carrot like, & he's tempted.....
I've not got much work this week - some BTS stuff, writing mainly, for
Sky
Poker
, a business trip to Brighton, do the Show on Saturday, a Conf Call on Thursday about some Vegas WSOP work, a "possible" 2 days location work on Thursday & Friday, & that's it. Insecurity sucks, but it keeps me on my toes, too.
The three GUKPT Side Events on Mon/Tue/Weds look corkers, & I'm very keen, though I must say, it's my least fave Poker Venue, behind even The Vic. I still need to sort myself out, but I'll probably book a Hotel up there tonight & stay up there from Monday until Wednesday.
I had a note from Jeffrey Pollack yesterday, the WSOP Commissioner, & I was astonished he remembered me. He described me in glowing terms to his Harrah's Team. Hopefully, I can work with him again on this years WSOP-E. I had so much fun doing their Press Conferences last year. He thinks I'm a big Shot this side of the Pond. Amzing how these perceptions arise, I don't tell any fibs, these jobs just seem to fall into my lap. Don't be telling him the truth now, eh?

Well I have been a bit reclusive, but it's not all down to to the teeth. There are a host of other reasons too.
I've been trying to marshal my thoughts on this so that I can get them into my diary, but every time I try to write about it, the page remains stubbornly blank, no matter how long I stare at it.

I'm afraid I was moved to comment in the APAT regional at Luton a fortnight ago when someone on the table had both earbuds in and had to keep asking what was happening. If someone was engrossed in an online game I think sparks might fly!
Didn't see any sign of it in DtD last night I'm pleased to say.

Not forgotten Jim, not at all.
I'm considering two suggestons from this Thread, The London Underground, & the London Sewer System, both masterpieces. But it's a big question, & I'm having a good dwell-up.
I got given a free trip to Vegas yesterday Jim (flight only) & I'm gonna use it at non-WSOP time, so I can just play & not do any work at all, & I'm gonna hook onto your shirt-tail for a week or two & we gonna play some poker. Can't wait.

Yes, but it was in different places. For instance, it wasn't injected into my bacon in the 1960's

Excellent point. I didn't see meat with added water until I moved to the UK. What the hell are people thinking when added water is OK?
