Yes, but it was in different places. For instance, it wasn't injected into my bacon in the 1960's

Excellent point. I didn't see meat with added water until I moved to the UK. What the hell are people thinking when added water is OK?

Boldie. I think you and I are turning into Stadler and Waldorf.

Im still waiting your 7 wonders

No excuses

Not forgotten Jim, not at all.

I'm considering two suggestons from this Thread, The London Underground, & the London Sewer System, both masterpieces. But it's a big question, & I'm having a good dwell-up.

I got given a free trip to Vegas yesterday Jim (flight only) & I'm gonna use it at non-WSOP time, so I can just play & not do any work at all, & I'm gonna hook onto your shirt-tail for a week or two & we gonna play some poker. Can't wait.

I picked Julie up from the airport on Friday and have the pleasure of his company for this week to come. What a dinner companion Julie is.
Let me know when and ill be at the airport ready to pick you up. (is compo coming too)?

You never know, if I could get The Fish Compo a Pass, he may just come along.

Julie will drink you out of red wine, lock the cellar.

Talking of Compo, he won the Sky Poker Super Sunday tonight, which begs the question - how?

He outlasted Trevor Harris & Kara, & eventually finished, I think, a heady 347th. Genius.

Lord Plump of Brighton, aka Flushy, rung me tonight.

I asked him if he was gonna play all the Sunday Night Online Biggies.

"Nope, Pub Quiz Night, huge value". About right for him.

He asked when I'm coming down to Brighton, having seen my itinerary for the week, & invited me to the Rend Cash Game. He knows value when he sees it.

101 runners at DTD tonight for the £100 Freezeout, including plenty of spillage from the Gala Notts Biggie.

Not-seen-too-often there's included Mick McCloskey again (he chopped Friday's DTD £75-er), Craig "I Know It" Wildman (unlucky, his Kings done by Jacks in a 25k coup), Jim McBride from Luton, & none other than Pete Costa, home for a few weeks for his Daughter's wedding.

Regulars - well, all the usual, including Chili, fresh from a cold-decked KK v AA for 18th & £1,200 at Gala, her Dad, Angelo, so with Maria, Angelo, Pete & Kim, very much a family affair. Fran & Dad Rob, (not sure Fran played), Dave Smith, Greek Jack, Tasos, Paul Jackson, Marcus-Bebb Jones, Steve Holden, Mick McCool, The Dazzling Cornelius from Smethwick, Anthony Nicholls, Chinese Frankie, Burgler Kev, Bag-of-Bollocks Ali, atc. Tracey Dell was playing really terrific poker, the DTD MasterClass run by Paul Jackson seems to have revitalised her game, & she ran deep, always stacked up, before exiting in a purler, Chinese Frankie flopping a set, Tracey turning the straight, & Frankie Housing up on the end in a huge Pot. Her game has improved beyond recognition in recent weeks since she started the MasterClass.

Pete Costa has amazing game, & I was trying to get a bet on that he'd Final, he can't miss in a Comp so well-structured. He hit cards early, then went card-dead & reverted to short-stack plod & steal mode.

I got a few chips early, but donked them off, as per, & was in my usual, & very enjoyable, look for cheap Pots mode throughout. I'm luck neutral right now, my hands are holding up, but I'm not getting that little bit of extra luck when I need it. I was short from 70 players in, & ducked & dived until exiting in 12th. I don't dance too good without cards. I was a shade unhappy (with myself) for my Exit, down to 16k with Blinds at 1.5k-3k (RA 200), there was a mid-pos limper, & I pushed with Q-8 suited, he obviously had to call, (K-J) & I was a 5/4 dog. Shoulda got my chips in first with any two, but I tried to force my luck. Mistake.

Still in were Greek Jack, Chinese Frankie, Paul Jackson, Ben Vinson, & Marcus Bebb-Jones.

Marcus is, based on the DTD Leaderboard, the best player at DTD. He's "only" 8th in the DTD Leaderboard, but he averages an amazing 14 points per Tourney from just 20 Comps. On "points per Comp", Paul Jackson is next, (10th place, 28 Comps), with 10 points per comp, & modesty forbids me naming the the guy in 9th with about 9 points per comp (32 Comps). To be fair, the latter two both benefitted from playing the short-field Omaha Comps regularly. The official Leader is Wadey, averaging roughly 5 points per Comp, but played a whacking 88 Comps, from Raj, whose average is 7 points per comp from 65 Comps.

Marcus has the perfect temprement for the game, & is a top bloke, & he's excellent table company. Wins & loses with equal grace.

Enjoyed the evening immensely, despite disappointngly exiting in 12th, & had wonderful table company all evening, plenty of laughs & a great atmo.

Tomorrow, all being well, I'll play the first of 3 straight Comps at the GUKPT Manchester Fessie, I fancy the £200 Freeze, £300 Freeze, & £250 Omaha, my first 3 Fessie Events for an absolute age, but the Diary has fallen just right. Or wrong. I'll try & write some Tourney Reports from up there - if I stay in long enough. Don't hold your breath.

I'm luck neutral right now, my hands are holding up, but I'm not getting that little bit of extra luck when I need it.

Call that luck neutral??  Not that I've calculated it, but having all your own hands hold up would probably equate to something like the 65 percentile on the luck-o-meter?

As for the rest, stop getting your chips in when in such bad shape and you won't need to call on that extra bit of luck when needed!

I'm very interested in O-meter's.

For instance. I have a built in tea-o-meter. The needle slips into the red about half an hour after my last infusion.

Did Peter final table? And did he do that thing of naming your hand with unnerving regularity?

I referred earlier to last night's £100 Freeze at DTD.I started up on Pete Costa's table, & ended up next to Paul Jackson on one side, & Greek Jack on the other, not much value there.

Paul Jackson was mini-micro-stack throughout, as was Pete Costa, but jeez, those two boys boys can't 'arf grind. I was a fellow-grinder, but made that one daft error with 12 left. I tried to get a bet on that Pete Costa would Final, but got no takers. Here's the Top Five Result.....

 P Jackson
2. P Costa
3. M Bebb-Jones
4. B Vinson
5. E Demetriou

Some £100 Freezeout line-up!

Paul Jackson & Pete Costa need no introduction, Marcus Bebb-Jones, as I said earlier, is technically the highest scoring player at DTD in their League, Ben Vinson has amazing game for one so young - very aggressive, much more so than his Dad - & that "E Demetriou" is Angelo, Chili's Grandad. So that pesky Greek Family got 2 in the top 5, after the Baby Chili cashed for £1,200 over at Gala earlier in the day. Doubtless Uncle Kim scored in the DC Game at DTD too, he rarely makes less than a grand a night there.

Marcus Bebb-Jones now moves up to 6th place proper, but he's streets ahead on points per Tourney, & ActionJack is 2nd.

Paul Jackson has such an awesome game, you are bound to improve if you watch this guy grind.

He had about 12k, with Blinds 1k-2k last night, & got a free ride in the SB against Anthony Nicholls in the BB. Anthony confessed pre-flop he'd only looked at one card, & checked.

The Board read

On the end, Paul checked, & Anthony bet a sussy-looking 4k - one third of Paul's stack.

And Paul then did that thinking out loud thing. "You can't have the 6, because if you did, you'd have peeked at your other card after the flop, you can't have the K, you'd have bet it, you can't have the 7 because.....& so on.

Eventually - & remember, Paul only had 12k behind, at 1k-2k, & it was 4k to Call, Paul Called with 6-4 - bottom pair, no kicker, on a paired, flushing Board.

Old School Rules.

Did Peter final table? And did he do that thing of naming your hand with unnerving regularity?

He Finalled, see previous Post.

Naming hands? Peter has two party tricks, "no-look" where he plays hands Blind, & he did that several times last night.

And "your hand is" at which he must cheat, as he can do it with unerring accuracy.

He named 4 or 5 hands "spot-on" last night, twice correctly nominating Jacks, twice Tens. Jon Shoreman used to do that trick, too.

I was in a hand with him & one other player, Peter flopped trip Tens, I was chasing a straight and a flush with  . Other guy pressurised Peter on the end, but Pete said "I'm not worried about you, it's tikay that bothers me, he's been chasing his straight with Q-9 of Diamonds". (Other guy was all-in on the turn). I missed, & Pete scooped, but he nailed my hand spot-on.

I Raised a few times, & after the hand, he named my hand precisely, every time. Scary stuff.

World's Coldest Hotel Room, Holiday Inn, Manchester.

Popped into Manchester-G this afternoon & paid myself into tonight's £200 Freezeout, it looks beutifully structured.

Saw Steve Holden & Cone-Head Tyler, both are up for the week I guess.

I've not paid into tomorrow's £300 yet, though I currently plan to play it, as I want to see how tonight goes first.

The Postcode for Manchster-G, as published on their Website, on Flyers, & given over the 'phone today, remains wrong, & I spent an hour driving round the seedier parts of Manchester looking for the place again. Not the most pleasant way to waste an hour. I tried to bring it to the attention of the Staff, that their Postcode is still being given out wrong, but they told me I was wrong. Hey-ho.
