Your favourite company are making the news again today....

http://www.scotsman.com/news/transport/ryanair-to-launch-glasgow-madrid-flights-1-4354722
No Ryanair flights to the States though; I was really looking forward to being stuck in one of their seats for 7/8 hours, nevermind.

Sir Ken Morrison has died aged 85
I met him once, knew what he wanted and didn't give a toss what we thought.
I think from memory you knew him quite well?

Well I met him many times, & had a lot of dealings with him, as we had various Contracts for Wm Morrison supermarkets & retrofits, though whether I knew him "quite well" is another matter.
Never have I met a more difficult, obdurate, cantankerous, demanding & wholly unreasonable man. He'd ring up 9pm Saturday night & simply say "be at the Batley Store at 0700 in the morning" & then put the 'phone down. You'd arrive at silly am on the Sunday morning & he'd be there, engaging with others, & you'd have to wait your turn, sometimes for hours. "I want those extra checkouts sorted by Tuesday", and before you could reply, he was gone.
And he was not a man to make excuses to, or even attempt cooey-wooey. If failing in any task or deadline, God forbid, just fess up or he'd rip you to shreds.
Loved him to bits, proper man & one of THE great businessmen of the post-war era. He built that Supermarket chain almost single-handedly. Not many can say they have achieved one tenth as much.
He scared me to bits, but I respected him immensely.
Very very sad to hear of his passing, a truly great man.
RIP Mr M.

You going to Leeds on that train? Looks like West Coast to me.

What a life.
Who could have imagined that guy who did the reports from all the tournaments he played 15 years ago, would parlay that into becoming the celebrity face of poker.
Pretty amazing journey you've been on when you step back and think of it.
