They all have a "Sports Book" too, which is the Vegas equivalent of a UK betting shop. Eat your heart out Betfred Hull.
Some 80 wall-mounted TV screens showing every sport imaginable, "live".
There's little booths, each with a laptop & screen so you can sit there all day & bet to your heart's content.

Limit Hold EM? It's almost never seen in the UK, but in Vegas they love it.

I've still got my little job to do Next Door whilst here & that includes a sort of Vegas Postcard.
So I'm gonna copy it onto here, but please bear in mind it's written for a different audience completely.
It might be the only return my optimistic stakers get, so I hope you get a modicum of entertainment from them.
Oh, & I played a Limit O8 MTT last night, but it was off-schedule & off-Stake, obv. Did I win it? What do you think?......
I'm gonna have to suffer it twice, marv.
Good luck out there, tales of arsehole rippage most welcome.
Poker based rippage, I should clarify.

I arrived at 5.15 for the 6pm start, & this was the queue.
It was capped at 150 runners due to lack of tables, & was sold out by 5.30, with 90 Alternates. Imagine being 90th alternate in a Limit O8 event, that's the definition of optimism.
In the end, they got 188 runners.

How did I get on?
Well it's tricky to get quadruple starting stack in the first 4 levels of Limit )8, but I managed it. Fast & loose, me.
It's also tricky to make last 4 tables with 2 x Average & 3 tables paid but fail to cash. I managed that, too. Fast & loose, me.
Had a ball though, & eventually exited just after midnight.

There was a Mad Lady on my last table, so many chips she could barely see over them.
First hand I saw her play she capped the betting Pre & scooped. Her hand was 9-9-6-6.
Next hand she capped the betting pre again, & scooped again, this time with J-10-10-2.
I momentarily wondered what game we were playing.

So, that was that, so went back to The Rio, got myself a light snack, sorted a few e-Mails & that was me done. 25 hours straight, & I was still buzzing. Today? Not so much.
More tomorrow.

Whets the appetite perfectly!
I'm going to break my Orleans duck this year, too.
03-07 @ 18:00 - $150 8-Game Mix $10k GTD
04-07 @ 18:00 - $150 Omaha 8-or-better $15k GTD
Figured I may as well dust off another $300.

I don't know if you have seen this, but it is an odd story
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-48553568
I don't even know that much about sailing, but know you should give way to starboard. In the second picture you can see the Russian ship (on starboard) has had to swerve because of its wake. The American ship should have realised it was on a collision course and taken avoiding action long before they got this close, but its wake suggests it is going in a straight line.
The oddest thing about it is that the second picture is provided by the US Navy, and it makes them look bad. If the Russian ship did make an unsafe manoeuvere, why not show a picture where the Russian ship is swerving off its line towards the American ship?
So I am left a bit puzzled by it, why hasn't anyone at any stage, at the BBC or the US Navy, gone hold on this picture contradicts the story we are telling?
If somebody knows more than me please pipe up, as my knowledge is limited to sailing the odd dinghy many years ago and watching sailing videos on youtube.

They used to give out Orleans branded windbreaker style jackets when you won a tourney there back in the day. I still have mine but I don’t wear it much as the zip to do it up is on the wrong side.........

Nice report Tony.
I've seen birds wings that move less than the Dreamliner.
