Should I have a ritual burning of my usual staking money just to add authenticity to the experience?

If Tikay isn't back soon, we should do a daily update of how we think he'd have done.

"Day one of the $700 Venetian PLO8 didn't go to plan. We had a good table, where I was only third oldest (and second worst dressed, comfortably ahead of Mr Shellsuit) but never seemed to get going.

two hearts three diamonds looked just swell to get involved, following an open from Lord Chirp and a threebet from Mr Shellsuit. I called and Lord Chirp momentarily piped down long enough to make it three to the flop.

wasn't exactly what I was after, but it was likely ahead, so I bet and managed to get it in versus Lord Chirp's incredible two spades , only for Mistress Variance to decide he needed more ammunition for his chirp, delivering a heartless  runout.

I contemplated a reentry, but there was an unpleasantly long looking queue of next batter ups, so I decided to treat myself to my first choc-ice of the trip (excluding the ones I've eaten in previous days, and the one I had for breakfast) and then head to the Rio to play some Big O cash.

Check out these beauties. Michael O'Leary approves and so should we all:

Next up is the $435 PLO at Aria on Tuesday, where we will have to endure the noise of the summer tournament cardroom, which takes up some of the casino floorspace. I'll get my Beats headphones charged."

Fan fiction aside, here's the story of Paulson chips and the Empress Star:
