Thursday nights definitely have the highest volume of any day on sky! It's weird how many games run then.

Yes - the Sky Sports Simulcast stimulates a lot of traffic. Hence the Focussed Live Show nights.

All making sense now, yes?

And it's why all the Presenters & Analysts bust a gut to get the Thursday slot - it's the prime slot.

I dont have sky so never seen the ruddy channel lol. Watched the odd bit online but not really. Just noticed from game selection heaven on a thursday lol.

You've never watched/listened to me dispensing poker advice?

You've not lived. Wink

TK Why is 865 a premium Channel, surely by making it free to all you will attract more customers or am I missing something here?

Hi Mr Dickie.

865 is not a Premium Channel.

I'm not entirely sure, but I believe if you can get Sky TV, you can get 865.

This is very true.

Thanks for replying Tikay.

Still a bit confused as to why Saturday nights would have the 2nd best sign up rate though, but if you say its raining i'll get my umbrella.

Ps don't you own a dish Tikay?

I never said Saturday was the 2nd best night - I said Thursday was the best night. Wink

As to raining, & weather - well, believe it or not, (& this is all Online Rooms) the best nights Online for Revenue are when the weather is at it's worse. So, sunny weather, light nights, = bad.

Rain, or prolonged periods of snow, very good.

No Live Footy on telly = very good.

Why do you ask if I own a (Sky) Dish? I do, but I'm a bit curious as to why the question.

Good job we have had 2 poor summers on the spin then?

I was just curious about the dish. I took it ( wrongly ) from your previous post that you didn't have one and was surprised. Now upon reflection i'm even more surprised that you do have one as you spend so much time working that you can't have a lot of spare time to slob out in front of the tv.

I got my Sky Dish back in the days before it was Sky - remember those square dish ariels? -  & I've had the full Sky Package ever siince - all the Films, & the fuill Sports Package. I kept them in readiness for when I retired, which would be 5 or 6 years ago now. Then things went badly wrong.....

I pretty much live in London these days, & have not watched TV in my house for some years now - at least 5 years. In fact, I doubt if I've watched more than 3 hours telly in the last 5 years.

I know, I'm bonkers for not sorting these things out.

A squarial.

I have no problem with them, as I avoid them.

Storing all their customer passwords in plain-text and then having them compromised is a pretty big technical problem... We once had 18 hours of downtime when a switch failed too, which seems like poor planning on the technical side too.

As you say their customer service is pretty much non-existent as well.

Anytime I have access to the tv remote in a hotel bar I leave it on the Sky Poker Channel, just to spread the word that little bit wider.

Will miss it I'm afraid, I'm off to Brighton for the £500, & back up tomorrow morning unless I make Day Two, got things to do, people to see, burning dogs to piss on.

I'l be on blonde Cardroom on Monday night though, playing some fun Cash, Texas & Omaha, if anyone fancies some.

It's amazing that folks get their money in so light these days......

This Flop yesterday at Brighton Rendezvous prompted a bit of chip-throwage.

I can only recall seeing this scenario Live once before.

What are the odds on this happening,. anyone know?

A Prog on Radio 4 this morning got me thinking.

In my youth, there would not be a single home in the UK that did not have one of these.

I'll be very surprised if.....

1) Anyone has one now.

2) Mrs Red does not have at least two - a regular one, & a Sunday best.

You HAD to have a posh one for Sundays, or when Aunty came to tea..

Last night, during a mental £1/2 cash game @ DTD, 4 players, all with circa £300 behind, managed to get it all in pre with

 three clubs  three diamonds

and

JQ man, a regular tournament circuit and cash game player, scooped the lot.

We have one and it's machine washable.  Don't have to worry about surprise visits from Aunties, so safe enough with just the one.

I agree though...Mrs. Red surely has at least 2.  And probably made them herself to a much better standard than anything the rest of us could buy.

It used to be the thing to knit them.

Then life changed, & they started intoducing novelty cosy's. And that, in turn, led to the loss of our Empire, & the downfall of modern soiciety.

It's nothing short of a disgrace, & an indiictment of modern youth, that the traditional cosy is no longer part of our society.

How many Shrewdies have one? Exactly. I rest my case.
