His biography (Surely You're Joking Mr Feynman) is a great read too.

Sky Sports have acquired exclusive UK coverage of the opening two rounds of the US masters from 2011, making it the only destination to see all four days of the tournament live.
This is obviously old news but I've only just become aware of it as Sky have been advertising coverage.
Who will be watching in 3D?
Golf in 3D is pants
Why is that? Genuine question, as I don't have 3D Telly, & I don't really know what it does.
When I retire, I suppose I'll have to get HD Telly, I'm told it's amazing, but I really don't know what 3-D telly is supposed to do. Do I have to sit there in daft spectacles?
We have 2 3D Tv's in the pub that I run, and sky have done a very good job in getting 3D hyped up. The football coverage has improved no bounds this season, but it still lacks what should be a full 3D experience due to the fact that they can only position the 3D cameras in certain areas of grounds to, and when they switch to high cameras (gantry ones, in my opinion the best one for football coverage) the 3D does not work, so all you get is a HD picture for that time.
Golf on the other hand is so difficult to film I should imagine, as they wont have millions of 3D cameras (cost) so the coverage if not in the right place makes the picture awful, or HD at best, therefore actually in my opinion making it harder to watch than just sitting there watching in HD.
I'm sure people may have a different opinion though..

Day going well.
I messed up the studio Call-Time, thought it was 11am until 7pm.
Wrong, it was 3pm until 11pm.
And now we've stopped for a 1 hour dinner break, & it'll be Midnight before we wrap, at best. My bad, but my head was set for bing, & the Studio were planning to bong.
Quite tough doing these back-to-back "absolute beginners" Shows, too. For whatever reason, we have to record every one twice (different channels, diferent licences, different target markets), & due to an error, the first one got a bit messed up, so we had to record the first one three times. And each time, Rich Orford says "so, tikay, explain what we mean by "the Flop?".
"Well Richard, da de da".
There are tougher ways to earn a shilling, though, & I enjoy it really.
We have to change shirts & jacket between every take, too. On change 2, I mismatched the buttons & buttonholes, so my shirt had a distinct limp. Which was spotted 10 mina into the recording. Bugger.
My stomach is not exactly behaving, either, & I've still not managed any food, either. But much better than previously.

Ventured onto 2 + 2, quite nervously, to be honest.
Tasked to answer any Sky Poker questions, there were mountains of them, did not know where to begin, to be honest.
Eventually selected one which slagged off Sky Poker, Channel 865, & had me down as a "lol-Pro", which, by the standards of today's fan mail, was pretty good I thought. It's not like I'm not used to that stuff, so they'll need to try just a tinsy bit harder.
All good fun in so many ways.

What is Skys short/mid/long term plan? And how is that being achieved through blonde/2+2 subscribers playing on Sky?

Finished the recordings, eventually. Boy oh boy, on a scale of shite, I was utter garbage tonight, just could not find any rhythm. It happens I guess, but it pinches a bit, too.
That apart, been an interesting day, especially with the fan mail.
As well as the "lol Pro", & being compared unfavourably in the looks department with Kara Scott, an e-Mail came into to the office today which described me as "
the most disengenous toxic little man I have ever heard",
refers to me as "Pope tikay" (insult, or compliment?), & the grounds of those complaints?
That, & I quote, "
you always slate cockneys on Channel 865
".
I do? I did?
He (it is a "he") was doing so well until that last bit, too. We have never met, needless to say.
Not quite up there with "
you are hedous, & single
" which I got a few weeks back from a geezer banned from blonde, (single, oh the shame!), or the positively mild "
Live Donk
" from a 7 year old spotty lad in Frome in Somerset via FB, to whom I replied "YBA", & who responded with "what does YBA mean?".
Goes with the territory, I suppose. Can't pretend I particularly enjoy it, but then again, none of it comes from people who's views matter a jot to me.
All very peculiar, & very fashionable, this infantile name-calling from cowards behind computers, does seem an odd thing for grown-ups to engage in. It's not like I exactly hide, or log into blonde under a covert alias to mask my identity. I've had the same Moby number for 20 odd years, same e-addy ditto, & I make a nuisance of myself on FB & Twitter most days, as well as blonde & next door. Now & then, I end up sharing poker tables with these guys, & the goose is never in danger of being booed.
Intriguing, & it fascinates, in so many ways. I could debate this for a very long time, but I have better things to do, & I don't want peeps to think it obsesses me. But it is interesting.
Each to their own.
So, huge (work) day in prospect tomorrow, & I can't decide whether to deal with the 2 + 2 questions tonight, or get some sleep first. Some really good questions, too.
I know I need to eat, though, it is now almost 72 hours since I last ate anything. Or should that be "eat anything"? Whatever.
Just remembered - 12st 5lbs this morning. Happy days.

Specifically as to what, Andrew?
The answer, in short, is to continue the growth pattern of years 1 to 4, & do what is necessary to keep the graphs on the same trajectory. They won't be copying anyone else's business model, absolutely deffo not, they will go their own route, as they always have.
The standard Online Poker Room path is a bit well-worn by now, we can't compete with them there boys, so we will take Route B.
Clearly, engaging with blondes & 2+2-ers exposes the product to a wider, perhaps more poker-savvy, & certainly more demanding, reservoir of potential Clients. That reach to potential new Clients will continue, long behind my tenure. Sometimes successfully, sometimes not. If we can keep all the KPI's lined up like good soldiers, we'll be just fine.
I'm not sure I fully understood your question. Can you clarify, if necessary, please?

Don't eat until your belly tells you it's time again. And then make sure it's dry toast or crackers for a start. No fruity fun stuff until you hold down/up the dry stuff. That's an order.

Sorry I wrote a second line to clarify but last minute deleted it because I thought it sounded slightly off which wasn't the intention of the question.
I only ask because with the how shall we say, current audience that is aimed at by Sky, bringing in purely thinking players is going to make things tougher and tougher for the again, how shall we say 'ensconced not so good regs'. I am merely thinking in a longevity sense rather than that of a purely selfish stand point! As i'm sure you'd find that alot of the people that got by etc find themselves more than just struggling. It seems a very tough balance for the site to deal with as you don't care who pays the rake as long as someone is paying it but any sort of short term goal could really punish the site in the long run in terms of liquidity. Does the question make sense now?

Yes, much more sense!
Too long to answer tonight, but yes, now I get your drift precisely.
Bear with me, please, I've got too many plates spinning to handle that one tonight.
But in the interim, yes, all that is recognized, & of course, yes, it's a tricky balancing act, but the Site performs it's role within a much larger Platform perfectly, the trick now is to find ways to keep that momentum. There is no safe, or easy, route, but "stand still" is not an option. BSKYB companies have to press on, for better or for worse.
Tomorrow, all being well, I'll try & flesh that out.
Incidentally, the problem of what you describe as the "ensconsed, not so good regs" has already reared it's head in the most intresting manner. That was last week's jaw-dropper. More exciting than an Archers episode, this number.
PS - Not sure yet, but I might answer it here, or on the designated "Sky Poker" Thread, it's nip & tuck where it's better served.

What a remarkable life this man has led, from villain to hero & back to villain again, with a string of nasties against his name of late.
And what original thought must have gone into him starring in, of all things, a butter ad. Which nearly doubled sales of the product.
Almost as unlikely as the tale that he has earned a pretty packet from property investment, too, but I think he has.
Lives in LA these days. Who'd have thunk, John from Finsbury Park now lives with the pretty people in LA.
