That Luton Hoo is a fabulous old great house judging by the photos, I'd never heard of it before.

Adam and Brown is a fair old partnership, I bet Chippendale played in midfield too.

Lovely piece sir.

A quick PS on Luton Hoo.

I cannot find reference to it at the mo, but I believe that just after WW11 ended, Winston Chruchill hosted a "Victory Party" there - & over 100,000 people turned up to hear the great man give forth.

Fabulous!

How come the stars were rotating in clockwise in some shots and anti clockwise in others?

Superb video.

How come the stars were rotating in clockwise in some shots and anti clockwise in others?

Just depends which way the camera is pointed, isn't it? If it's East, the stars will rise over the horizon, swinging right (South). West, stars will appear from left, and swing down to the horizon. North, they'll rotate anti-clockwise (although given Tenerife is pretty far south, Polaris will be fairly low in the sky, may not even be visible depending on the time of year. South, they'll rotate mostly clockwise, although the rotation point will be below the horizon.

I think. Waiting for an astronomer to point out I'm an idiot Smiley.

Unless that was a level. Never know with you sometimes. What's a Muntjac again?

Quite correct, I love video's like this, I also find it kinda cool that the clouds can look like waves rolling along a seashore.

I don't subscribe to much on the net as I'm one of those people who get easily sidetracked from one thing to another and before you know it you have lost a day!

I am however subscribed to the behind the James Webb Spacetelescope podcast on the Hubblesite, it's fascinating stuff on how the building of the Webb telescope is progressing. It's going to be awesome...it could also be possibly the biggest white elephant ever since it's going to be too far away to fix/tweak if anything goes wrong.

For anyone interested in how the Webb telescope is coming along, here is the link to their podcast beginning with podcast no 1:

After the post about Megan Fox, I was disappointed that this wasn't a video of more stars like her!

I took Red for a little countryside excursion yesterday, & we had an absolute ball.

If ever you want to learn about the countryside, & nature, have an hour in the country with Tim, it's just the greatest.

The story will follow, but amazingly, we had a discussion about an animal which is becoming incredibly common in the UK, almost THE most popoluos species of Deer in England now, I gather. And Tom had never heard of it!

I had seen one of these recently, & mentioned it, but Tom never knew of it. That's gotta be a first.

It's called a "Muntjac", & is invariably spelt incorrectly, usually "Monkjack". It's a sort of miniature Deer, sort of the size of a large dog.

Here's it's Wiki page.....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muntjac

The photo below is misleading as to size. In size, they are to regular Deer what Shetland ponies are to horses.

If you see a vampire version it's a chinese water deer, they are rarer though.

I can see where it get's it's name.

PS - I think the muncjac story is the first (& last ) time I've ever known about an animal that Tom did not. The only things I can best him at are muncjac's & sycamore trees.

I can honestly say, hand on heart, I had never heard of her. (Have now, been googling).

I'd heard of Samantha Fox, obviously, but not Megan.

What does she do, exactly? Just pose?

I tried to google image a nice photograph of her, but every one just seems to be her thrusting her tits at the camera, who needs that, adolescents excepted? Does she not do anything else? You know, juggle, spin plates, play the spoons?

Luton Hoo has a nice golf course as well Tony, Mr Ben Turnstill took myself and Mr Dave Jones there once.

Looks a tidy course. The Clubhouse looks like it's been converted from a Stable Block, with the exercise courtyard in the middle.

I really need to sort this golf thing out, it's starting to get golfers itch again.
