A quick PS on Luton Hoo.
I cannot find reference to it at the mo, but I believe that just after WW11 ended, Winston Chruchill hosted a "Victory Party" there - & over 100,000 people turned up to hear the great man give forth.

Thanks Ding.

That Luton Hoo is a fabulous old great house judging by the photos, I'd never heard of it before.
Adam and Brown is a fair old partnership, I bet Chippendale played in midfield too.
Lovely piece sir.
Thanks Ralph.
Maybe we could arrange a "Miserable Gits" day out there - you, Mr Trumper, Tom & myself.*

Whilst I write up a Post, can anyone name this Gent?
Very famous, back in the day, & in a sort of odd way, & totally unconnected with his fame, today is the 50th anniversary of something he was in from it's very beginnings. Legal beginings, I mean.
The last I heard, he was still alive.

Mostly fair comment. I'm not sure, even if I sad so, that "depression" is the right word, I'm deffo not depressed,
depressed is self-pity in many cases,
there's none of that.
I just don't understand, I suppose that's it really. Why the need to say such a thing? "just a comment", that makes it OK? Really?
You are right about online personna v live personna though, in so many cases, I could name a 100 who are incredibly good company in real life, & arseholes online. 101 if you count me.....
Nobody else seems bothered, but I think they are - they just don't want to put their head above the parapet.
I just needed to say what I thought, & as I freely noted, maybe I am looking at it wrong. I generally mull over these things for a few days, in peace & quiet, & the right answer just slowly forms in my mind. This time, I felt the need to comment.
Have you ever, in life, added up the pros & cons of having friends, proper friends, close friends? The pain & the pleasure? I'd need to study that ledger closely before knowing which side it falls. In a full life, friends have given me so much happiness, &, when things go wrong, so much hurt.
*Sigh
Comments like this sadden me very much and are a disservice to the tens of thousands of people suffering with mental health problems each and every day
Rather than troll your dairy I'll cover it on mine...when i get chance obv.
Lovez ya Teek, you know that but I can't and won't agree with this..It's a disease just like any other, it just happens to be invisible to outsiders.

Just catching up - megan fox is an actress.
The reason that prompted me to catch up at this time is that I just flicked it over to sky and the first hand I saw was tiltbean's aces get cracked by j6 in an 1100 pot. Great tv!

Yeah, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I don't use words well enough to express my elation at it getting put in Beaneh's eye.
Who was the presenter with you?

Legalisation of off course betting? Can't work out who he is though? Not Victor Chandler?

Possibly
a more accurate way of saying it would be - when people
say
they are depressed it's self pity in many cases. Which is often very different from when people are actually suffering from depression.
