How's the golf coming along?
It's on the catch up list, Ralph!
I had a session at a range, but wow, it was ridic bad, so a few lessons are needed. A good pal of mine, squawky, is a golf pro, & has offered to sort me out, he reckons he can sort anyone. I may be his first ever failure.

Donald Trump likes to promote himself (and indeed, other people fall into the trap) as a business expert, this self-made man who became a billionaire.
In reality he inherited his money from his father (who genuinely did make a huge fortune after starting with very little), and has done relatively little with it in 40 years, except go broke.

He is "rumoured" to be one of the richest men in America, but I think gatters would call bs on that.
can't call bullshit on that. every man in america is one of the richest men in america. pretty sure he's one of the 150 million or so richest guys there

Talking of old people who look good for their age, have you seen lulu on tv recently. Probably the youngest looking 70 year old I've ever seen.
If you're playing the mixed game comp at the vic on monday, let me know as I kinda fancy that one.

One of yesterday's newspaper magazines ran a major piece on Donald Trump. Hard to imagine a more conceited & arrogant man.
He is "rumoured" to be one of the richest men in America, but I think gatters would call bs on that.
He went skinto officially once, & then after swerving the liabilities, built another empire. He owns huge swathes of Manhatten, & many landmark hotels & buildings, but I fancy their foundations are built upon layers & layers of debt. The accounts of his companies are incredibly complex, which is often a clue, too. He much reminds me of Wooly Jumper, in fact, attaching his name, or brand, to things he does not own, unless you count debt-funded minority stakes.
He was puffing himself up to be a Presidential Candidate, & used the Obama birth certificate story to gain momentum, until Obama had a little sport with him, & that was gg Trump.
It's rare to see a President so mock a citizen, but Obama got the job done here. (from 3.30 on).

Good to see you taking some time away from the poker site Tikay, hope you're enjoying it.
Did you see this article during the birth certificate saga?

I'll return to the Lulu thing later, but for now.....
Bit of a disconnect on the Mixed Game - it is NOT a Tourney, it is a Cash Game. 3 games, I gather, (4 card) Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, & Super-Stud, blinds £3 £3.
I was keen to give it a whirl, but received mixed feedback as to whether it always runs or not, so I commenced a fairly advanced dither.
However.......
It now transpires that I am working tonight - PTP - so I cannot go to The Vic anyway, my apologies for thue bum steer.
Been incred busy today, catching up after 3 days offline, some "stuff" going down next door, & I am desperately short of sleep today, having been a bit of a pratt at the weekend, kid in a toy shop stylee, & eventually getting to bed at 4am today, after a whirlwind weekend. And back in the office 4 hours later.
Some might argue that my "slowing down" pledge has been a fail of epic proportions today. So sick.
So, off to bed now for some kippage, then, tonight, a bunch of fun Tourneys Online for my PTP session, as well as playing in Chezzy's League.
Tomorrow, I resume the slow-down. In mitigation, I have been a complete lazy slob all weekend. Visited some cool places, too.
OK, off to bed, & apolos for the mix up about The Vic tonight.
All good here though.

Responsible attitude from Matt. Irresponsible owners are the cause of most dog bites right? Better to be cautious when dealing with animals.
I used to employ this guy called Terry who claimed to have a way with dogs, speak their language etc. He owned about a dozen different dogs of all shapes and sizes, all strays he'd taken in from time to time. Looked like a right nutcase walking them down the street. But he didn't care because he lived for dogs and shared an "understanding" with them. Talked about nothing but dogs. Anyway, one day I'm at work in the gym and this dog just shoots into the club and starts running around. The dog's going crazy, barking, running on treadmills and darting about freaking all the members out. It's a chaotic scene and although all the staff try and get the dog out it's just impossible. I'm at my wits end and don't know what to do next when in walks Terry the mfckin dog-whisperer. My saviour. This guy springs into action and takes control of the situation in impressive fashion. He locks eyes with the dog and the dog stops dead. Terry moves towards dog in hypnotic way like Crocodile Dundee did with buffalo. Terry very quietly and very gently cradles dog in his arms and picks it up and starts carrying it towards the exit feeling very satisfied with himself and his wildlife skills. After about four paces that dog flipped out crazy and savaged the living daylights out of one Terry's arm. All you could hear was the dog snarling and Terry screaming like a banshee with blood everywhere. Never seen anything like it. After that animals are animals imo. Terry was ok after hospital but more relaxed about his relationship with dogs. Dog-whisperer my arse.
omg. if there was ever any doubt that you run the whitbury newtown leisure centre it's now all gone

Slight corrections; it's £1/£3 ROE of the 3 games. The PLO and PLO8 are played 4 or 5 card dealers choice. It's supposed to start at 7pm; IIRC last week it started around 10pm.

Actually miffed at myself for not thinking of that gag. I think I will opt for the 'its time to start thinking of putting her in a home as she is clearly going doo-lally.

thought this was quite interesting
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/28/internet-poker/stars-shill-accounts-1041814/
cliffs
-In another thread Stars' head of security posts under an anonymous account pointing out contradictions in FTP's public statements and encourages players to file complaints to FTP's licensing body giving them advice on what to say and how to do it.
-Former Stars employee, now FTP employee, is irked by post and begins outing Stars shill accounts. Including the head of security as above, and
mbpoker as being Isai Scheinberg, the owner and founder of Stars.
-Isai has been posting anonymously for nearly a decade on 2+2 praising Stars while artfully implying he is a player
without explicitly saying as much.
-Stars 'advocates' dispute it is him, but ultimately accept it is.
-Discussion ensues on whether what he did was right or wrong. Opinions are mixed and generally seem to agree it was wrong but not necessarily harmful.
-People are able to out his old identities on rec.gambling newsgroup due to information gleaned from his mbpoker posts and name. His pre-stars postings provide interesting insight into an otherwise very opaque figure. These newsgroup postings also provides absolute proof that mbpoker is indeed Isai Schienberg.
