Don't forget to put your fantasy team in before you go. I know how much work went into it, be a shame to miss out.

Hmm.

I have now made my final selections. I even know some of them personally.

I'll be Online all day tomorrow, & will sort it then.

For now, the delights of the M25, M40, & M6 await, marv.

PS - did you hear about that geezer from the Fens who got grimmed for £5k?

Ok I will play in the tv game.

In seriousness, I know a footballer who might play and it could be worth contacting the dudes from the real hustle (not vinny) as they play poker quite well.

Thanks Greeky.

"the real hustle"?

Now I think of it, I was sat next to a QPR footballer at Luton last night, but buggered if I can remeber his name. It was not Terry Venables, Stan Bowles, or Rodney Marsh though. Current player, lairy.

Tony you do realise that that $2500 O/8 tourney is almost certainly fixed-limit.

So if they buy $100, & I only spend, to be daft, $1,000, they have 10%. And so on.

Does that make sense, sort of?

no, not really. if you sell your max 5k and only play 1k then what do you do?

you need to sell a % and refund based on what you play, not sell a $amount and adjust %s

$100 is 1% of what you play, no matter what you play. if you only play $1k then it's still 1% plus you refund $90

The original plan was exclusively the Noon daily Caesars Deepies, but I was quite surprised what low buy-ins they are, mostly sort of $150 & $230, & I sort of went off the idea. Then, days ago, I heard they were getting 800+ runners every day - wow! That'd be perfect, & say 14 x $200 is very affordable.

They also have 4pm "Mixed Game" Tourneys, & some nice Omaha & 8 or better took the eye. So I guess if I bust the Noon early doors, I can switch to the 4pm jobbie. Or the 6pm nightly Rio Deepie, at $200.....

But a bunch of mates are cajoling me to play a couple of the bigger ones at The Venetian, $1,500 & $2,500, which I also rather fancy, & I have a few stakes in some guys in those.

Then there's one event at Binions, their $1,000 thing, 30th June I think, which I want to play.

So, summing up, I've got no idea what I'll play, & don't want to be bound to a prior agreed schedule, but I know I'll be playing daily, non-stop, from June 20th until July 3rd.

What a ditherer I am.

I've just had a look on THM to check the results and I'm not sure they're getting 800 runners. It would appear they're getting a lot of runners in their $120 as the first prize is the same as the 230 in the latest results. The only time I remember big fields at Caesars was in 2008 when they were getting 4/500 runners everyday for their 340/550s which were running that year. With it becoming apparent over the next year that they were just not able to compete with the V in terms of cardroom nor structure they have obviously adjusted their schedule to try and catch the lower end of the buyin market with the 120/230 etc.

Caesars $120

Caesars $230

http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/event.php?a=r&n=56825

The Venetian however is getting 800 runners and massive pools

Last $340 on THM

$550

The Golden Nugget side tourneys don't seem to be generating as much interest with the $225 showing 4k uptop on the 7th June but then growing to just under 7k on the 9th. Hopefully these will get bigger as time goes on but the big money is at the V.

Binions doesn't have any results on the THM but they do have a $200 hilo which I might play for a change on the 28th, it is the same day as one of the massive $340s so greed might take over and steer me there Cheesy

I'll be playing the $1k at Binions too, do you have the 3rd off or are you working on the 3rd?

If you start on the 4th then there is a $1080 main at Golden Nugget which is 20k chips 1hour clock too finishing up on the 3rd. Plenty for everyone across the board to choose from anyway. If you don't mind big fields and want big $$ then it's the Venetian. Smaller fields with shorter days and quicker tourneys Caesars would be ideal.

The Binions fields were quite small whilst I was there. 80 for the $200 Limit O8 for example.

Golden Nugget has NLHE and "Non-Holdem" tournys both at noon. The non Holdem ones have been 100+ fields, The NLHE ones poor fields

The Caesar's 4pm are well structured when non-turbo but go deep and its a 3 am finish.

I'm OK with 4am finishes, in fact I'd be rather pleased to last that long.
