Just need to work on Tom, Ralph, Andrew, Claire, Mr Giblin, & co to be there now.

assuming this is me claire and not someone else claire, I am trying but without luck so far.  Can't make the live sat tomorrow.  when do the online sats finish?

There IS only one Claire in my life, even though you prefer the author of Skidmark Chronicles.

The Online Sats are every night @ 9.30pm, but I doubt they will run beyond Tuesday or Wednesday, at best, as all the seats will be gone by then. I will try to persuade Tom Myland's favourite Cardroom Manager to open up a few extra tables - which he would do if he could get the extra Dealers, but which I fancy is unlikely, as all the spare Grosvenor will be in Manchester, for the GUKPT.

If you miss the Main Event, there are also sideys on Friday, Saturday, & Sunday evening. I hope you can be there. If I could persuade your beloved Tom to come along, presumably you'd deffo attend?

Feeling well left out now pfffffffffffft Sad I'm actually free at the weekend........................and I might miss you a tiny tiny bit.

On another topic - When you started posting those sporting photo's from some newspaper or other, I strangely started to feel nauseous.  I really thought that football photo from years ago of a broken leg going off into a direction that it had no business facing was going to rear its ugly head.

If someone does post it after this then please give me a nice warning before I scroll too far down and throw up in my mouth. Ty

Sod poker!!

Come out with me and Stu and get smashed!!

I'll let you play with Ronnie if it helps.

Tikay my old mate. If you want to come out with me and Stu to get smashed you're more than welcome.

There's a strong chance of curry or kebab afterwards as well.

You may also play with Ronnie if you so desire.

But in answer to the question I was talking to the bird.

Pardon me if I make a rare exception & briefly mention, umm, poker. It's not normal on this Diary, but the last remaining vestiges of the audience on Tom's Diary are now homeless, looking for something to read, as Tom's Diary has drifted from skid marks into that one subject which makes so much noise, but only a very few can be arsed to read - religion. He'll be doing football next, as he scrambles for readers. So, a window of opportunity for me.

Went to Luton last night for the £100, sadly, the £5,000 overlay was missed by a whopping £1,600. Whoop if you like, but overlay is not the value you think it is, & it will end in tears.

I was trundling along nicely, then this weird hand went off.

Me - I raised up round the back on a 6 handed table with  and get one customer, who pretty much calls any bet.

Flop -

Nice.

Check call.

I liked the turn.....

I bet now, he pops it up, I just dwell flat, theatrically. Got him.

River, bugger, not sure I like this so much.....

I bet, now he snap jams!

Now I really don't like this so much now. He just flatted my pre-flop rsise, so 10-10 is out, 4-4 maybe? More likely, surely, a big ace, A-K, A-Q maybe, though that would mean the case ace just rivered. Anyway, there was 22,000 in the middle at 100-200, & I now only had 7,000 behind, & eventually I called, he can have lots of hands I beat here, though I have a feeling it is a shocking call. He can't possibly have A-J, of course.

He had A-J. I am so bad.

Re-entered, & cruised to the Final. I opened with A-Q, Chandra jams for sixty trillion, I look him up, as his range here is massive, & I only have 22 bigs. He flips 2 red nines. Flop A-Q-9, off to the DC game we go.

The DC was a pretty bad table to play, no value at all, none whatsoever, but I so love playing it, so I pulled up £500 & decided to indulge for an hour.

It as £2 £2, & almost the first hand I played, (6 card hi-lo) I flopped a Royal, (& rivered a redundant house!) holding  on a flop of

I played it stunningly well, & collected a pot of exactly £8, of which £2 was my blind.

I dribbled off about £100 then, just playing real bad & loose, I just fancied splashing around for an hour.

Then it happened, & "the hand" occurred.

We are playing 6 card Hi-Li, & I flop the nuts (flop 7-8-10) with extensions, & A-4 for a bad low draw. I bet out & got 2 callers, one of whom (Jim, aka 77Dave) had the nut flush draw.

The turn comes a 3, & the river a real absolute miracle 2, (no hearts, wiiii), to give me nut-nut. Nice.

There is a few hundred in the middle by now, still 3 way, & I am determined not to lose my customers.

I bet, I think, £120, Jim flats the £120, now Simon wants to take off, & pots it!

I don't do any theatricals, I just snap him off & call al-in. Lovely.

But now Jim goes in the tank, he looks like he is hating life. Jim really understands Hi-Lo, & I respect his game, but I knew he was not liking life here. He asks to see exactly what is in the pot (it is PL), I think there was about a grand in by now, & after a very long tank, sigh calls.

I say "nut nut", Simon declares nut low, & so does Jim - all three of us held A-4, on a turn & river of 2-3!

MBN to be me, & I scoop the high, & chop the low 3 ways.

So, an evenings Luton fun, & a little profit, despite the fact I played pretty badly in the DC.

OK, no more talk of poker. I promise.

loved this post, wiiiiiiiiiiiii

Teacake, what are your favorite DC games and why?

This is a true story, you can't make this stuff up.

Last night Thewy was the Analyst on 865, he has a regular slot now.

He is not comfortable with "talkback" (that's the earpiece, which delivers instructions - & warnings! - from the Director, Producer, etc, in the Gallery), so he did it without talkback. So did not hear the warnings.....

He analysed one hand between two players, & - easily done this - got a bit mixed up with their aliases. Which were....

"Mastahead" & "MattBates".

‘alan1506’ won last night’s Primo (£3,410) and Mini Primo (£404), scooping the £6,800 Jackpot for over £10,600 on Sky Poker

who he?

Just a "regular" lad, lives in Wales - where the previous "Jackpot" winner lives, coincidentally. He plays £2, £3, £5, & now & then, £20 games, & if he satellites in, he plays the £30 & £50 Tourneys, too.

Last night, he was 1st of 253 in the £55 PRIMO, (£3,415 ish) & 1st of 295 in the £5.50 Mini PRIMO (£405) plus he scooped the Jackpot of £6,800.

Ship the £10,620.50!

It is the 2nd time it has gone now, inside 4 months, & gets reset back to £5,000 from today.

I'm thrilled to bits for him, I love it when there regulars win decent money. He won a big Heads Up promotion we ran a while back, too, only to get his Aces busted in the final hand.

And best of all, my job is sometimes a bit painfuil, biting my tongue when the moaners moan, or the 13 year old "experts" tell us how to run a cardroom. But it's pretty neat on a day like today, too, as I get to ring him & give him all the nitty gritty. We'll do the "Comedy Cheque" routine, TV Interview, Press Releases, etc. The win has to be confirmed  by "Fraud Dept" first, because collusion is always something to be wary of in these situations, & the Account needs validating for correctness, but he came through squeaky clean.

I shall be inviting him to Luton this weekend, too, & get Anna Fowler to interview him.

Proper star.

Do you know what is unique about this paragraph Tony?

Dammit I'm mad. Evil is a deed as I live. God, am I reviled? I rise, my bed on a sun, I melt. To be not one man emanating is sad. I piss. Alas, it is so late. Who stops to help? Man, it is hot. I'm in it. I tell. I am not a devil. I level "Mad Dog". Ah, say burning is, as a deified gulp, In my halo of a mired rum tin. I erase many men. Oh, to be man, a sin. Is evil in a clam? In a trap? No. It is open. On it I was stuck. Rats peed on hope. Elsewhere dips a web. Be still if I fill its ebb. Ew, a spider… eh? We sleep. Oh no! Deep, stark cuts saw it in one position. Part animal, can I live? Sin is a name. Both, one… my names are in it. Murder? I'm a fool. A hymn I plug, deified as a sign in ruby ash. A god dam level I lived at. On mail let it in. I'm it. Oh, sit in ample hot spots. Oh wet! A loss it is alas (sip). I'd assign it a name. Name not one bottle minus an ode by me: "Sir, I deliver. I'm a dog" Evil is a deed as I live. Dammit I'm mad.

Good grief.

Would anyone like to hazard a guess at the cost of 244 US Army tanks in pristine condition? A million bucks apiece? More? Less?

The size of the American military never ceases to amaze. Place a value on this little lot.....
