Stunningly beautiful?
I think it is perfectly awful.
Not enough money in the world to get me to live there.
That comment has caught my interest Keith. If you wouldn't mind elaborating, what aspect / aspects do you find awful?
It's how I would imagine what a rich American would want to live in if he chose to live on a river.
Gawdy, out of place and basically a carbuncle on the face of the river.
I can just about understand the urge some people have to live on a river, but let in be in one of those narrowboats, painted and sympathetically (and tastefully) decorated.

The Knicks lost at home to the New Jersey Nets last night, bit of a shocker. The Nets are pretty terrible, and as local rivals about to get more local (moving to Brooklyn next season) it's a painful one.
New York had all of their players fit for the first time last night, and they'll have to get used to young Jeremy being the primary ball handler and one of the star men on the team from here. His numbers were okay (actually pretty good) last night, 21 points, nine assists, seven rebounds, only three turnovers, but his direct match-up was against Deron Williams, an All-Star point guard, and he had 38 points and six assists. Maybe a bit of a lack of defensive energy for Lin, it can't be easy to be playing big minutes four or five times a week having never really played before.
The Knicks played with Carmelo Anthony for the first time alongside Lin last night. He is their main man, one of two superstars signed in the past year or so on massive contracts (the way the NBA salary cap works allowes crap teams to throw the cheque book at out of contract stars. New York did that twice to sign Anthony and Amare Stoudamire to build a team around. Now they have discovered a third superstar without having to pay tens of millions).
How Lin blends with Carmelo and Amare, and how they cope with being one of three stars and seeing less of the ball, will help write the next chapter of the Linderella story.

I read that there were 2 racist slurs against Jeremy Lin made on different ESPN channels.
One was from a presenter on ESPN NEWS and the other was from a lowly sub on ESPN Mobile.
The punishments? The former got a 30 day suspension the latter got fired.
Seems like justice.
Not.

Ooh, fine knowledge of float glass production there Mr Fan. At 3 metres width, it would take some transporting, too.
You been to Pilkingtons @ St Helens, to see the glass produced? Incredible sight. The silica sand from which glass is made is also quite an interesting topic. Glass, in fact, is as deep & interesting as concrete. Time for a glass story, soon, though I expect you'll soon see through it.
No, never needed to. I work on the fitting side, Pilkingtons deliver stock sheets to us direct in one of these.
Don't know if you've ever seen in the back of one ? Awesome bit of kit them.
Been waiting for you to break the glass story for a while now, pls do.

Anyone worried about the information google has from their search history being shared a lot more widely?

If you haven't done this already, might be an idea to do it now?

Not even a little bit worried, can you explain why I should be?

Have to say, Dan, I'm with Hoppo here, I don't really see the problem.
I have a fairly eclectic search history, & whilst some of it, to do with my job, is a bit sensitive, there is nothing in my "Search History" I would be too bothered about.
We are not forced to use google, either, at work, for all manner of odd reasons, I use "Bing". We are not forced, in fact, to use ANY search engines, we just choose to, to make our life easier. It's their train set, so they set the rules, & we can choose to accept them, or not use them.

I've popped over from the diary ran by red-dog for a looksie as that diary is closed for the day. I notice that most of the photos on here are also posted next door. This is rather disappointing, I'm not sure I'll stay long...

Doesn't work for me - going to the history link just sends me to the main google page.
