A most peculiar, & trying day, but plenty of variety.

I spoke at length this afternoon with the the lady Producer, or more likely her AP, who is making that "Love or Money" Documentary for BBC3.

Two reasons, really, one was wearing my business hat, gotta chase all these little angles, it makes a huge difference to get the business name out there. Sky Poker just done a sort of crazy stunt @ Aspers in Stratford, but not as crazy as many think, there were photos of the thing - Sky Poker Loogs everywhere - in all the Daily Newspapers today.

The 2nd reason was to see if, in a small way, I could try & ensure poker was represented in a reasonable light - we have all seen how TV can destroy reputations & communities by slanting the coverage & sensationalism. Poker - Online Poker - is in serious decline right now, though not thankfully next door, & nobody will benefit from bad publicity.

Anyway, after some niceties & preambles, I was asked to nominate the names of some "couples" who fitted the specific criteria.

I came up with THE perfect couple, & explained to the nice lady why. She seemed very interested, & I agreed that I would act as intermediary, speak to the chap, & if he was interested, move it forward. I would not, of course, do so without the chap's pemission, & he, I assume, not without his young lady's approval.

She asked for his name, I gave it - his real name (he is a blonde), & that was that, I went for my afternoon siesta.

I awoke to an e-Mail from her. She said she had been reading all this chap's Posts on blonde, & thought he was a very suitable candidate - which, if the couple approve, is a good thing.

Now I'm puzzled, though. I never told her I was associated with blondepoker, & I never told he the chaps alias/screen-name, just his real name.

So how did she make the connection - right forum, right chap?

The "sphericals" in trees locally to me, I asked what they were. Various suggestions ensued - heron's nests, squirrels dreys, mistletoe (?), etc.

Here they are, or one of them, better shown.

Are you using optical zoom or the digital jobbie in those snaps?

Mistletoe is a parasite, it takes root in a host tree as in your pic.  The reason it shows up in the winter is because it doesn't lose it's leaves.

Optimised Smart Zoom with enhanced pixieation, Ralph.

PS - I have no idea. Tom is going to sort me out on Saturday, I hope. I read all that stuff earlier & it never advanced my understanding one iota, jot, or scintilla. Honestly, I'm more confused than when I began.

100% we are thinking the same person, & for the same reason.

But I did not give her his alias, so that was a pretty neat trick by the young lady.

It's me and Tom, isn't it?

Rumbled.

But please, "Tom & I".

"me and Tom" sounds so common, so cheap, so Argos-ish.

PS - Tom has the hots for Zelda. Just saying.

sigh @ grammar noobs.  'Tom and I' totally incorrect in this context.  'Tom and me' perhaps better than 'me and Tom'.  No, I'm sticking with 'me and Tom'.

OK, "Tom & me" I can live with - none of us are perfect - but "me & Tom", that's just obscenely common, crass, & vulgar.
