Shush you commoners.

When you say common, are you referring to sense?

Both of you will pay the price of impertinence within a day or two.

Are you hosting a dinner-party?

If this were true I'd have to bring my own cutlery.

Watching Redmond present the show tonight is pretty amazing.

To think 6 months ago he was 'just' a player, then analyst, now doing a very competent job of presenting!

Desperately trying to avoid becoming (a bigger....) Diet bore, but Monday is "weigh-in" day, so here we go.

Monday March 12 - 14st 0lbs

Monday March 19 - 13st 8lbs

Monday March 26 - 13st 2lbs

Today, April 2nd - 12st 12lbs

Rennie intake - nil

Nurafen intake - only one pack.

Pleased to bits with that.

Head is in exactly the right spot. Lots of temptation, but the buzz is from spitting in temptation's eye.

Original target was 13st by April 28th, now revised to 12st 7lbs by same date. The weight loss will slow dramatically now, of course, as much of the flubber has gone.

I hope to go to Vegas in Mid-June, & I guarantee I will be no more than 12 stone by then.

Dieting is so satisfying, in so many ways.

I try to visualise weight loss in various ways - a mental image of 2lb bags of sugar helps, so that is 8 x 2lb bags of sugar I am not carting around with me all day.

Am eating plenty, but just the right stuff.

Onwards & downwards.

PS - I'm the nut best at losing weight, & the nut worst at piling it on again. It was always so.

Saturday's dinner.

Cutlery omitted to avoid embarrassing commoners.

Salad dressing added to satisfy Nirvana.

Chicken legs omitted to please Evil Russell.

Come on, admit it. That lettuce is just for show. As soon as the pic is taken you sling it don't you?

Nope, I ate every bit. And HATED it. But yup, I ate it. The Salad Cream makes it (almost) palatable.

I shan't be eating any more lettuce though, it was just too horrible for words, & I feel almost ashamed to break my "green embargo". It was my first & last.

Got a GREAT dinner lined up for tonight, though.

You know another benefit from Dieting? - food tastes SO GOOD, & meals become "occasions", relished & anticipated.

When I'm splodging, I eat for the sake of it, & take it for granted. Now, it's something to savour, in every sense.

I'm even less grumpy. (A bit). I actually spoke to someone yesterday morning. Nicely.

'Ah, it must be April 1st', they thought.
