Why are u wearing a scarf indoors? Rather than looking flairy and fashion conscious a la Rutter, u look like a pensioner who is feeling the cold a bit. Reminding me of my Nan sat on Southsea beach in the summer in a raincoat and headscarf!

You have to remember though Jeff, not everyone is as well insulated as you....

Oooh, that's not nice! Jeff is my Basketball Corry, give him a break.

I see by your sig you have stated your diet Tom, well done.

5lb in Week One is about right for that weight (very similar to where I began the latest one), good start. I KNOW you won't fail, either.

Got a target?

Jeff won't mind. He has a thick skin.

Yep. Finally got my head in the right place and started my diet last week.

Aiming to be under 13st in time for my big bike ride on Jun 17th.

Which reminds me......

Weekly Weigh-In.

Monday March 12 - 14st 0lbs

Monday March 19 - 13st 8lbs

Monday March 26 - 13st 2lbs

Monday, April 2nd - 12st 12lbs

Monday April 9th - 12st 10lbs.

Monday April 16th - 12st 8lbs

Monday April 23rd - 12st 6lbs

Monday April 30th - 12st 5lbs.

Only 1lb loss this week, but that's about standard for me in week 6.

I've not let up, or had any "diet rest days", the zero-tolerance remains rigid, so I could not have done much better. It's a little more testing when I go away on business, as I did from Friday to Sunday, or do a lot of driving, as I struggle to find the right foods, & certainly cannot go near Casino food, so I'm quite pleased in a way.

Realistically, 12st by the time I head to Vegas in 7 weeks time looks about as good as I dare hope for, but that'd be just fine.

"thick skin".......he'll bash you up if you don't quit with that.

The Diet - it's not possible to do it properly, or successfully, until the head is in the right place, as you well know. You'll get there easily, you know you will.

That's impressive. It's a good job you can't put it back on that fast.

Not quite as fast as I lose it, but as sure as God made little apples, I'll be north of 14 stone again by next January.

It was always so, and has been an annual ritual for me for as long as I can remember. My whole family were large, & I'd be 16 stone or more if I did not control it.

A good tache has many uses. You should grow one yourself.  (When puberty kicks in).

If you haven't stayed there already, next time you need to be overnight in London and you fancy treating yourself try this hotel:

https://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/lonpr-st-pancras-renaissance-london-hotel/

Stayed there this past weekend.

Absolutely fantastic place. Best hotel I've stayed at in England.

You might set a new world record for ooohs and ahhhs.

(Try and sneak yourself into the Chambers Club for breakfast)

Well the lip warming function isn't confined to just my top lip for a start.

A moustache also gives you kudos during dictator interviews, helps when flirting with a goat, and demonstrates solidarity with your Spanish/Middle Eastern girlfriend.
