I'm sure I read once, or maybe you told me, that a few years ago, you found yourself penniless and homeless?

If so, how did it feel? And how did you rebuild, to manage to get where you are now?

Blimey, what a question!

Penniless, homeless, car-less, jobless, the clothes I stood up in, & the spare change in my pocket, no family, no nothing, that was it, 32 years of age & proper, proper, totally busto, after I got done for everything I owned, & more, by one Mr Barrymore Cordial.

I'm off to rehearse for tonight's Show now (= get some sleep, as 5 hours is energy sapping), & I have a very crammed week ahead, but I'll try answer that in the next day.

How's your health, short plump bloke? You were coughing shocking last time I saw you, WAY too many ciggy-wiggies. Diet still going badly, too? Yup, thought so. All good then.

I'll maybe hold you to that.

Sadly, I must duly inform you that whilst in Vegas, even on holiday, the day job continues, to which end, I hope to be blogging DAILY.

Anyone who has ever exercised their minds reading my Vegas Blogs from previous years will readily confirm a distinct lack of Hand Histories, bad beat tales, or even much by way of hardcore poker stuff, or flop stories. It's distinctly left-field stuff, Vegas from a different angle, so oddball in fact that even the legendary but now retired troll "Car Park Nirvana" said he almost enjoyed them. Almost, you note, & he deffo said it grudgingly, as if he wanted to not enjoy. But did. Almost.

My health is good, well, good for someone who is short, plump, smokes a lot & has a terrible diet Wink

The important things in life are good for me too atm, some, maybe less important things, depending on your outlook on life, no so good, but fuck it, can only do what you can do innit, prolly.

Anyways, have a great time in Vegas if i don't see you before, not for me this year, me and pizzled, and maybe Luke bayliss are heading to the gukpt in las Plymouth in early July, so we are unable to fit Vegas into the schedule.

Good luck, win the lot x

We both know what that means, & it's all that matters.

Plymouth? What, Plymouth in Devon? Are you mad?

Yup, Vegas is SO close now. 5 sleeps, or 5 days, 1 hour, & 10 minutes before that Virgin 747 rolls down the runway @ Gatwick......

It is going to be just terrific, & I'm sure we'll cross paths somewhere. I quite fancy the Mixed Games, too, & I've got your Tourney Schedule thing printed off, & am planning what to play, where & when, right now.  The buy-in size is not relevant, it does not have to be big bucks, I will enjoy it even if it is small.

See you in Vegas!

Those Matchroom Tourneys in new Mills were fun, yes, but somehow I don't think Eddie paid in with his own money. Wink

Barry enjoys playing poker, too, he holds a tourney every year on his yacht in Monte Carlo. He does not much enjoy losing, either, but he has had to endure defeat in it the last three years, when it has been won by the same person - a young lady of my acquaintance- on each occasion. And thereby hangs another intruiguing & fascinating story for another day.

I've got until the 22nd to wait unfortunately so am just behind...

I'm having the first 2 days off and then hitting into a solid week of it after that. I'm not playing anything above a $300 buyin other than the 2 $1k tourneys at Nugget/Binions one of which I hope gets some of the forumites a coup too!. All the mixed game stuff is down town really apart from a few odd ones at the Wynn/Palazzo/Caesars. See you there indeed and hopefully we'll be on the right side of a carve up!!

I only played two and was on the wrong side of it both times with AA to KK and AK to KQ (I know 50p x 2 Grin) I have no doubt Eddie was probably 'put into it'.....

I get the impression that neither Eddie nor Barry would be too fond of losing and it must be frustrating that Katie is probably the best player in the family Cheesy

More rungood/runbad balance.

I purchased a lump of Evil Pie in the GUKPT Belgium last weekend.

I got a series of texts from him over the weekend, along the lines of "busto, send more  money".

It sort of went "busto the main, shall we play the sidey?"

"Busto the sidey, shall we play the sidey sidey?"

"Busto the sidey sidey, shall we play cash, the 5 10 looks well soft".

Think it cost about me £1,100 in the end. For all I know, he never left Nottingham, & was exercising the husky.

No more bad beat stories, sorry.

Still, Maria got the lot in the Main, or I think she did, she was going well in Level 1, according to Matt. He said "send her a text, she's steaming", so I did. She replied. I can confirm she was steaming.
