Excellent, thank you!

That can be true, Boshi.

Amazon has collection places (called lockers), where you can pick up stuff if you don't want people to open it at home. Mainly a present thing, although I suppose it extends to those who are purchasing niche products, such as Barcodes of Paraguay, A History of Lamposts 1946-52 or 56 Cheese on Toast Recipes in Aramaic.

I've always said that Amazon should buy-out Argos.

I don't think it is fair comparing the two tikay.

The 9/11 attacks happened to be filmed for an amazing amount of cameras, tied in with the fact it was such a shock and happened in a world now where visual media is by far the largest form.

Also its far easier to put ourselves in the shoes of the people who died. Normal office workers who were going about their daily business like millions and millions do every day.

Far far harder to have the same kind of emotive feelings about innocent people who are in the crossfire in places like Mali and Syria as their entire life experience is so totally removed from our own.  I would imagine that they couldn't even comprehend that their are thousands and thousands of people out there who live like relative kings to them for clicking a choice of 3 buttons all day long.

I'm not sure about "unfair", but yes, I take your point.

The media, technology, & specifically the Internet, have changed the world beyond recognition.

The life of a civilian in Leningrad still has exactly the same value as an American citizen in New York. Guess it depends where & when we live & die.

As an aside I was in New York last week and the 9/11 memorial was such a weird but beautiful place.  Really is a must do.  I took some pics of the surrounding area so when I get my camera back from the GF I'll upload some.  One thing that really, really surprised me was how the nearest fire station was only a 30 second walk away from the site.

Kinda felt a bit confused tho that they had a 'Gift' shop but suppose its America and I think the profits go to good causes so....

Have you ever been to New York?  Woulda thought it was your kind of place given there so many amazing buildings/engineering feats there.

Yes, do please post those photos from New York, Ryan.

No, I've never been there, though I'd like to. I've been very staid & conservative as to where I have travelled in my life, & I much regret it now. For instance, I don't think I have ever, in my life, visited anywhere in Asia. How that happen? I think daft things put me off - food especially. When I went to St Petersburg, I dined three times a day, every day, in the same eatery. It was a KFC.

Bit late now to address all these mistakes. The cliche is "no regrets", but there have been a few. Red Card for anyone who Posts "but then again too few da dada. .........

Yes.

And he produced Blackadder amongst many other things.
