The mass of the Earth grows by around 40,000 tonnes a year.

This is caused by the objects that fall to Earth from space.

I too have been looking thru Vegas stuff.  Unsure of how long I'm gonna be going for....would love to do a month again but can't justify it without a bink really, and also if I am to go for a month it would have to be at a house as that long in a Vegas hotel would drive me insane.

While I was looking thru some pics from last year, I found this.  Think this was when you can 4th at a Wynn PLO8 event?

Just said so on horizon.

Most of it gets burned up in the atmosphere and falls harmlessly as dust.

The mass of the earth is 5,900,000,000,000,000,000,000 tonnes so 40,000 tonnes is only increasing its mass by 0.000000000000000677%

Oh well if it's dust I can believe it. I think about 20 tons if it falls on my lap top screen.

Ooooooooh those are some mighty lovely looking numbers!!!!

Just been doing some post-RED-DOG-cries-of-bollocks research.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-16787636

Turns out that although 40,000 tonnes of space dust comes to earth every year, our planet losses 90,000 tonnes of hydrogen. The net result is the Earth is getting lighter by c.50,000 tonnes a year.

Was just looking through some deals Tikay around that time with a view to maybe booking mine, I managed to get 21st June - 5th July with Virgin and staying at the Nugget for  just under £1100 through www.expedia.co.uk

That is only the hotel from the 24th for 11 nights, the 21st-23rd is expensive for the reasons I mentioned earlier. However, lowcostusa don't seem to have caught on and are still doing 3 nights for £150, so I've managed to get the lot for £1250.

Anyway, I see Doobs is heading out that that weekend and doing the same with the flights/hotel you can get the Palms Place for £1105 21st-5th (hotel 24th-5th). You'd need to jump in somewhere else for the first 3 nights because they cost £400 through expedia for the Palms Place all 14 nights.

Gold Coast is coming out at $450 for those 3 nights.

Palms/Palms Place $500+

Rio $750

Orleans $450

You can get a few downtown on Expedia for around £225 which are decent enough, but it's £300 + for almost everywhere those first few days.

The Palms Place is great, there is no casino noise and you're only across the road from the Rio too. I stayed there in 2008 and couldn't recommend it enough if you're wanting to be at the Rio without staying there.

Given that the flights are £790 alone on those dates, £300 for 11 nights at such a nice hotel is a steal!

I think a similar amount seems to spread itself around my office at home too!

I booked Palms Place through Main Event Travel last year. Think it was about £1600-£1800 for a month (can't remember exactly).

Studio appartment with a kitchen, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave etc etc Really helps to keep it real.

20 mins brisk walk door-to-door to The Amazon.

I checked the rio 2 or 3 weeks ago and am sure that it was only $200 for those first 2 nights, now it looks like it is more than double that.  Looks like I was a bit dumb to not book it then.  Will have to try and book something later today, maybe the Palms.  Cheers

Hopefully I'll be going back to Vegas this year. We had a brilliant time last year in the mirage that would be my first choice a stones throw away from the Venetian card room very central and reasonable prices. Put all that together with having dolphins and tigers at your hotel what more could you possibly want?
