My thoughts on the whole hand?
These lads play a different game to me. As long as I have breath in my body, I could never even contemplate such a call.

For Lambert's thread in the other place
I spoke to him on the break which was shortly after and was saying what a sick call it was, and he explained that it actually looks alot better than it is, and when he explained it, he's right. He said it's basically the same as calling with KK because if I call the flop with a 2 or 3, I'm just checking back the turn, if I hit my 7 or 9 then I'm just checking back turn and river, so basically I can only ever have Ax or complete air, and he beats pretty much all of my air with K-high.
He sounds a bit sick that he folded the best hand.

As Roland De Wolfe learnt once, just turn your cards over, son.

The aces hand where Dubai wanted to double up or go home was even better, just because of the full range of facial expressions on exhibition by Dubai, while Mr Aces was tanking on the turn. That hand must have taken a good five minutes.

The colour story is that it was the last level of the day
Its a two day event.
Dubai can't play day Two, and I know this
Tal doesn't
I ask Tal for a price, with Dubai about double average stack, for Dubai not making Day Two
Flushy keeps looking over because he has a tee time booked for 2pm Sunday and really if Dubai busts then it might give him an excuse to, too (my read)
So what price does Tal offer, or does he smell a rat?

That hand doesn't sit right with me. It feels dirty like Dubai is taking advantage of a not so experienced player. Obv Lambert should have waited before mucking.
Lesson to be learnt for sure - If you bluff and get caught don't be embarrassed to show your cards. It's far more embarrassing losing your chips with the best hand.

re-raising bb to anywhere is not a backraise!!!!
you haven't made a passive play yet so it cant be a backraise.
also lol at losing at showdown with the best hand. that's just how good dubai is.

Don't know why fella thinks he can only have Ax or complete air. What about set? If it's the biggest comp this fella has played a set or big A or two pair A5/7/9 seem much more likely than complete air after call call bet on dry board.

Dubai doesn't have to announce or do anything.
He called, and it is now the other guy's turn to act and he elected to muck.

Dubai called knowing he had muck equity.
That's how good he is.
