What sort of "non hold em events"?
Will Binions and Golden Nugget have a November mini-fessie? They usually offer plenty of mixed games.

I'm not too sure on Binions or GN and wouldn't really know where to look. I think Marky's the man for that job!

BA currently have a sale. as do Virgin.
However, for the
cheapskates
nits among us, I have managed to find something different. AA (American Airlines, not the car people) fly direct from Heathrow to Los Angeles. They've just stuck one of their newest planes on that route
if you fly the 12 noon departure
- a Boeing 777-300. I'll let tikay go into more detail on the plane.
The reason I am suggesting this is twofold. One - it is cheaper to connect via LA than fly direct and very simple to book. Two - this particular flight is the only transatlantic flight that has plug sockets for your laptop and wi-fi whilst travelling. Anybody should be able to survive a flight to the West Coast with these amenities.
Currently, on the AA website, that flight flying for a week from 13/11/13 to 20/11/13 costs £568.65. To fly direct, with BA,
in the sale
, costs £660.45.
Thanks Adam. I had not forgotten this, but was trying to resist.....
Not sure I'd fancy a two part flight to & from Vegas, especially the return, but it was good to know BA have a sale on, so thanks for Posting.
I'm a very doubtful runner, and I'd not entertain the idea unless I could play PLO8 most days, with the occasionmal PLO or Stud tourney. Not interersted in going there to play NLH or PLH.
If I can convince myself to presss the "BOOK" button, I'd rather do the Scottish Highlands in truth. All that scenery, isolation, & no internet. Ooohhhh....
Good luck on your trip though, & I hope all is good with you & Joobs.
All is fine, thank you, although this time I'm leaving Joobs at home and going with the APAT crew (Ger, Paul Davis etc) so am slightly fearful! I think vegaslover is joining us as well to play the scheduled APAT event.
If you do decide to book, I think Virgin are cheaper for all dates bar November 7th. As nearly everyone going is on that plane, I would probably recommend swerving it, it will be slightly raucous! Looking at the schedule for the DSE, they have non holdem events on the 4th/7th/8th/11th/12th/13th, then a break until 18th/19th/21st.
Not that I'm trying to persuade you to come out or anything...
Yep i'll be there too. I fly out on the 6th. Need a rest day before drinking with those lads!!!

^^ Sorry about the quality of the photo's I really should learn how to upload them properly having been around a couple of years.
Good man you, glad to see you are starting him off right. Can't believe how big they are now. Mrs Kral looks wonderful, too.
Love the photo of Matey Boy in the Signal Box. A Signal Box is a thing of wonder to a toddler.
Must have been quite a Wedding Reception. Perchance, I spoke to, or had contact with, several of your fellow degens yesterday (shallow, grumpy types), & both had been to a Wedding Reception on Saturday at which copious amounts of alcohol were reported to be flowing. Quite a coincidence.
PSD - Congrats on buying some of Doobs action last night in the big Winamax thing, you are virtually guaranteed a profit, well done you, fully deserved, hope he wins the whole €80,000, that'll be a nice little payday for you.
So how did that work out for YOU?

Spoiler!
I had to get to bed last night, after THE most awful day at work, which ended @ 10pm, & the prospect of another today. (And tomorrow).
So I decided to save the Doobs Winamax thread until last,
squeeze it
, just as I save the spuds till last with dinner. Always save the best until last.
Anyway.....yeah, what a thing. Tremendous result by Doobs, & lets not forget Ryan, too, who finished 2nd.
Ryan is really progressing with his game, his career, & his life, & I'm so proud of him.
Won a Sat to EPT Barca, cashed for €15,000 or whatever, won a sat for EPT London a few nights ago, & now picks up a useful €68,000 in the Winamax thing.
He's had a testing year, like you will never know, lost a huge lump of his 'roll in unfortunate circumstances earlier this year, & did not have a great Vegas, so this result is, for him, spectacular.
Top bloke. Not so long ago he was roffling around at Luton with the likes of Chompy & Vinni, now he's a proper player.

Ha! Bum hunting rears its head in the most unlikely places sometimes......
I don't know, in truth.
They give me an open pass to play any or all of them, but I always feel a little guilty when I do, my job is the other side of the Table. Anyway, I'm absolute poo at the game these days, as you well know.
I must say, chatting with you & the lads at DTD recently was so much fun. (The day you were on Red's Table).
You WILL be there, right?
Tell your mates, too. You know how we run these things, it will be a fun weekend. It will.
There is no way I'm gonna ask Upstairs if I can play it, but if they offer, as they usually do, I'll be sorely tempted.

I will play on the condition that you play it as well.
None of my mates from school / college etc have the slightest interest in poker. Most of them have never played a hand in their lives. The only friends I have who play poker I met from playing poker so they will probably be there anyway.
