Well Doobs has sorted paying for the holiday Teeks, let us know when you have booked
Spoiler!
I had to get to bed last night,
after THE most awful day at work
, which ended @ 10pm, & the prospect of another today. (And tomorrow).
So I decided to save the Doobs Winamax thread until last, squeeze it, just as I save the spuds till last with dinner. Always save the best until last.
Anyway.....yeah, what a thing. Tremendous result by Doobs, & lets not forget Ryan, too, who finished 2nd.
Ryan is really progressing with his game, his career, & his life, & I'm so proud of him.
Won a Sat to EPT Barca, cashed for €15,000 or whatever, won a sat for EPT London a few nights ago, & now picks up a useful €68,000 in the Winamax thing.
He's had a testing year, like you will never know, lost a huge lump of his 'roll in unfortunate circumstances earlier this year, & did not have a great Vegas, so this result is, for him, spectacular.
Top bloke. Not so long ago he was roffling around at Luton with the likes of Chompy & Vinni, now he's a proper player.
Please expand...

Oh Dear.
Morning James.
Err, no.
Yesterday was better.
Today will be betterer.
Tomorrow, with you & Tighty, doing the NFL thing, will be......
sick
Funny you should turn up here. Got home well after midnight last night, cooked some dinner & fell in front of the telly for an escape from poker after 24 hours (2 x 12) in a studio, watching others play poker, & "supervising" (doing nothing). And it was YOU, with Stapes, doing the commentary for PCA 10. (Stapes looks very odd in a suit. Smart, but just wrong). You make a great pairing, the pre-eminent "Presenter/Pundit" poker pairing in the world right now I'd say. Excluding any combos that include me of course.
Think he came out with -
"typical American - equally awesome & hideous"
or somesuch. Very good.
Your (in)tolerance to the rather juvenile rail at the Final Table of PCA 10 was somewhat evident.
Met THE most interesting & extremely succesful young British poker player yesterday. Very, very, impressed. Remind me to tell you all about him tomorrow. Proper
sicko
. Even go so far as to say
legend
. (poker version).

Where and when is this SPT main event? Is it sold out?
I seem to have dropped off the Sky marketing email list.
I have a weekend pass owing, just maybe. . . .
I need to be a little respectful to our Sponsors, so PM on way.....
PS - How is Anya?
Cheers for the link - question has been asked, lets hope she feels like a weekend without me under her feet
Anya is great, happy, content and full of vim and vigour, thank you for asking. She seems to do something every day that appears remarkable to my eyes. Her personality grows as fast as her teeth, and if she does not shed the cheeky smile when “misbehaving” I am going to be a Dad in a world of trouble in years to come, as it just makes me melt on the spot.
Think I sense a proud & very happy Dad there.
LOVE to see that sort of stuff.
So much to look forward to, eh?
It must be a very difficult path to walk, trying to ensure a daughter grows up "right", with good values, & not spoilt rotten, when one smile from her & you melt.
Life will be full of so many wonderful moments, & dilemmas.

Morning Sir
I wish to register a complaint. You assured me a week or so ago that Jack Black was a 'Hero' and thus could do no wrong.
With this assurance in mind I persuaded my wife that we should invest our hard-earned leisure time in watching a film which had the aforementioned 'hero' in a starring role.

I attempted to resolve a matter this morning by ringing up a particular company.
They told me it could not be resolved over the 'phone, & I had to contact them in writing. I asked them for their e-Addy, which they gave me.
How easy was that?
Well not quite as easy as it at first seemed.
I got a reply immediately, which read as follows. Loved the enboldened part.
Thank you for contacting XXXXXXXXXX.

That's tonight's TV schedule sorted then.
NFL is not my first sport but I'll try and find a question to email in to the experts and the enthusiast. I know you like my emails.

Ha!
8pm - 10pm tonight is the NFL slot. Address your NFL questions to Hartibore or Tighty if it's NFL. Poker questions? Me, obv. I'm here to help.
PS - A little harsh to label Tighty as an "enthusiast".

Crikey, what a week I've had.
Three excruciatingly long days in a studio, finishing around midnight each night (from around Noon), then a 5 hour Live Show last night. Tighty was the Guest, & just as well, I was all out of creativity, oomph, & zing, & he pretty much carried me. Mixed in with that, some nasty legal stuff, which (with some help) I managed to put to bed. No big deal, but it stresses me. Probably had 18 hours sleep since Sunday, so a restful weekend planned. My ankles are blue with bruising, they don't seem to cope so well these days with long days standing around. Just as well I've lost nearly a stone on Diet # 937, or it'd be worse. Tiredness apart, feel pretty good all things considered.
Spent a good deal of time with some people I did not previously know too well, including, arguably, the most successful MTT player in Great Britain, a wealthy guy - very wealthy - who has over 85 "1980" retro One Armed Bandits in his home, & two very famous sports stars. I have a little chunter when I'm tired, but what a great job I have, to meet the good & great, famous & not so famous. People are great, eh?
Fred is a great fun, but it is SO time consuming, & when I'm behind, & trying to keep pace with everything, I don't like it so much, I don't like being behind the game, so to speak. The sheer popularity of the thread might just kill it, it really is hard to keep up at times. Monsta fun though, & we make a little bit of money, & for the most part, we don't see bad blood there, & I don't think I've ever seen any of the the odious
moron, retard, spaz, drooler
sort of stuff used there. Glory be.
Am badly behind with my workload, but it'll have to wait until Monday, I just gotta rest this weekend.
I generally play Online a few hours every day, but I've not managed to this week, so I'll have a few sessions over the weekend. Its very relaxing, though I get a bit all over the place when 4 Tabling & folks want to be friendly & chat. I might even play some PLO8 or Omaha cash this weekend.
blonde seems to be an a bad mood today, & for the last few days. Weird how Forums seem to be organic, living, breathing, things, with good & bad moods, & need tending to keep them ticking over nicely. Part of the problem is that the art of debate seems to have largely been lost. Shouting at the villain I AM RIGHT ain't ever gonna win hearts & minds. You gotta try wearing their shoes. Plenty of good stuff though, but we lose that crucial balance sometimes.
Here's a happy song. I like happy songs.

I read THE most wonderful Bio this week, of a Lady who died around 20 years ago. She was still working full time at the age of 103, though she took Sunday afternoons off. Gotta go to Church, see?
She had THE most extraordinary life, overcoming tremendous hardship & poverty, but she beat the lot, and some, & ended up incredibly successful & wealthy.
Look away, because I'm going to try & print the "cliffs" to her life story over the weekend.
I had known of her for some time, but had not realised what obstacles life had placed in her path before she became successful.
I spent a goodly while researching her life, but her "complete" story does not appear to be written down anywhere, so I've had to piece it together.
