Good morning.
2 or 3 Posts on here, & several PM's, suggest some muddied waters as to today's $3,000 WSOP PLO8,

Ther answer is "no",
it was in the original schedule, so is already paid for, but thank you anyway.
The orig sched is here.....

28th May – WSOP $1,000 PLO
29th May – Orleans $225 PLO
30th May – Venetian $600 PLO8
4th June – Venetian $600 PLO
8th June – Golden Nugget $225 PLO8
11th June – Golden Nugget $225 Big O8
13th June – Golden Nugget $230 Big O8/BigO
14th June – Golden Nugget $125 PLO8
15th June – Venetian $600 PLO8

23rd June – Binions $200 PLO8
24th June – WSOP $1,500 PLO8
27th June – WSOP $3,000 PLO8
Feels like a win already ;-)
Ha!
Am giving myself a good talking to today. It starts @ 4pm, (in 6 hours time) so I should have my head in the right place by then.
I looked for Thewy's name in the Monster Stack chip counts but could not see it. He's not out, is he? He had 32,000 when I took that photo of him, 3 hours before the end of play. I did see Ryan is going along nicely.
Jeez, The Rio was heaving yesterday.

Is this the last hurrah for the trip Tony or are you staying for the ME?

Am coming home on Sunday Ralph, not staying for the ME, so yes, today is the final instalment.
It's actually a 3 Day Jobbie, so fingers crossed I'll be playing tomorrow, too. I would even have to cancel Sunday's flight home if I made Day Three. Now that'd be a thing.

Best of luck Tony.
Three mornings of ripping squeezes with my coffee will be just fine.

Good news!
The tourney has been put back two hours and the last time that happened at DTD you came 2nd for loadsamoney, and I do love good omens.

Really home on Sunday? Thought you were about half way through for some reason.
Best of luck today. Extra big rippage ftw.

Good spot Ralph, hope you are right.
I've got Amazon 367, Seat 2, same table as a Chicago-based pal of mine, a Commodities Trader, who is shortly moving to Barnstaple (near Luton).
Had a good sleep, went down & checked out the Monster Stack, & have put a warm, long-sleeved top on, as it gets quite cold in the Rio late at night.
We are only playing (hopefully...) 8 Levels tonight due to the delayed start, so, all being well, Day One will end at around 3am Vegas, 11am UK.
I plan to really concentrate this evening, so will just do Updates at end of each Level, or the breaks.
Excited, nervous, ready.

Sure thing I kinda agree Redsgirl, but it's really not helpful to have those feelings at the poker table.
When Kendall gets short he needs to fight like a dog for every chip.
Any poker player cringing with embarrassment/feeling unworthy has no kind of ideal mentality imo.
Generally, I think we do need to feel embarrassment as you say, but it's when that emotion seaps into lots of trivial areas that it becomes a hindrance. Going for a night out and drinking something you don't want is undoubtedly being overly sensitive to others. It's all about balance right? Everybody has an equal right to exist and you should forgive yourself to do as you please if you aren't hurting anybody.
Have really enjoyed this exchange, with you, Redsgirl & myself, but I have to correct you there, your implied assumption is incorrect.
Nobody fights more to the very last chip than me, even if my methods might be unconventional & not really optimal.
If that were not the case, & I was over embarrassed about returning with 5 or 6 Bigs, I would have chucked them in at the end of Day One. I once scooped £27,000 after returning for Day Two with 2.5 Bigs.
It's just a peer presure thing, "nits" (& I am one) are generally not respected in poker. So I'm conscious of the mocking, but in truth, I am not fussed. I just wished I had a better game, a bit more flair, & could mix it when the chips are flying. I need decent cards & a bit of run-good, thats all.
A most interesting exchange of views, though.
