My 2014 poker year.
First, Online.
Pretty dull stuff compared to the
heroes
, but I doubt I've ever enjoyed my poker as much.
I made £565.29 in the 12 months, Online. I never Deposited or withdrew all year, started with £900 odd, & ended on just over £1,520.
Took me about 200 nights to do it, too, lol. Not exactly cost-effective, but worth it just for the fun.
Generally, just played DYM's, the biggest of which was £11.
Real edgey, me.

Live Poker 2014?
In the UK, very pleased, I made just under £9,000 profit, from making 5 PLO & PLO8 Finals. 4 were PLO I think, just one PLO8.
It's a bit distorted by a £7,000 bink at UKPC, but I'll take it.
Overseas - Vegas - was a different story, & I had something of a disaster in 2014. Think I ended around $8,000 (dollars) DOWN, though I sold about 60%, which is a sort of bittersweet mixed blessing.
Generally I ran really good in the UK Events, & really bad in Vegas. It all balances out in poker, we can never bemoan our luck long term.
I don't often play NLH any more, in fact, I'd prolly only play the Omaha Variants if I had my way.
Anyway, between Online & Live, I made a bit of profit, & I'm chuffed to bits with that. My mental dexterity is definitely on the wane, so I can't be displeased with making a bit of profit.
I do wish I had a bit more gamble in me, but I'm a scaredy-cat, & I really enjoy it at the levels which don't hurt so much when we knock it in. I'm half-convinced many poker players are masochists.
I fucking hate Sundays
Yes yes, see you next Sunday, then?
You bet

Sorry on phone laptop appears knackered.
They often do ten issues for a pound. I often do this deal for my mum cancel then do it again next time.
Spoke to a person there last time I cancelled and he told me the cover price now is almost irelevant. A very small percentage of their income is from shops these days and a very similar percentage would buy it if it was a pound or a fiver.
He didn't give the figures but the advertising makes it profitable for them to carry on even with dwindling sales.

Is it one of those games where we have to fill in the blanks?

sorry
Two lovely articles, thanks John.
Football's great unreported scandal indeed. I had no inkling of any of that. Meanwhile, EPL clubs are awash with money, but not, it seems, a collective sense of responsibility to the grass roots.
Hard to see when, but such excesses and wanton waste usually end badly. Especially for those at the foot of the ladder. It's natures way of correcting excess.

Off to bed in a second, so wont be around if you reply.
I'm a bit concerned that you seem to see hate in many different corners in Blonde, Tikay. It even popped up in a convo with your fav mucker, horsey.
I'm pretty sure its not as bad as you say. I see very little nastiness here. Sure a few cyber grudges etc, but hatred to the extent I keep reading. I don't think so.
Sure there are some wind up merchants on here, and I readily acknowledge myself as one, but I can't think of anyone I see post, that has any real hate in the posts, but I have read in several places recently, your concerns.
To me, and I suspect nearly everyone else, I regard this as YOUR forum, and if you found my behaviour that out of line, I would rather be told, rather than spoil it for you, as would many, but I think you are becoming a tad over sensitive sir.
Maybe I am wrong and looking at the wrong threads, but I think you're getting upset over not much, apart from the stuff that also helps to keep these places so active, at times.
Happy New Year to you and all Blondes.
