I probably wouldn't be too pleased if I looked out the window and saw Vin working on my plane!
Was just thinking the same! What is the white van for in the pic? To escort him to the nearest Nando's for lunch?

STAKERS UPDATE.
If the flight is on time, and all goes well, I might just be able to late reg for today's $220 PLO at Binions. It starts at 2pm, late registration is 4 x 30 min levels plus a 15 minute break. I'll be late, tired and doubtless stressed to death, so it will NOT be on the stake. (It never was included in the play list).
In the spirit of things, STAKERS will be paid as per their % package investment in the unlikely event that we win money's, but this will be a freebie, it will NOT be on stake.
I tried to work out what the worth is of all that free value you are getting, but I got stuck when I could not work out what 1% of bugger all was worth.
We start properly tomorrow, at Venetian.
That's me done, am eating fried brekkie at Gatters, Ooohhhhhh.
Flight is said to be on time, but I checked on FR24, and I calculate it will take off 23 minutes late.
Gotta go browse some book shops next, then ogle the departure boards. Love departure boards, all those destinations and dreams.
Am ridiculously excited. Had to wee 4 times already this morning.
Off we go.
Are lattes free in Vegas?

Staker's Update
Arrived safely, after having to return home this morning when I realised I had left $2.75 on the windowsill.
Unforch, your "Bonus Tourney" at Binions such as it was, never materialised.
The flight was late, but not too bad, & we were on track to play, until we encountered a problem in Immigration, & I got pulled.
Mr Not Very Smiley Immigration asked me a few questions, including "how much currency are you carrying?", which I answered honestly - $9,900. He never said anything, I was fingerprinted as usual - all 4 fingers of each hand, then both thumbs - then he grumpily nodded me through "have a nice stay Sir".
Next up, collect my case from the Carousel, no prob, & I'm on schedule to check in at the Rio by 3.15, & then whizz down to Binions.
As I went to exit, there is another checkpoint, where you show Passport & Immigration Card. My immigration card had been flagged up "with a red "x" by Mt Not Very Smiley, unbeknown to me. Now the man says "you need to go across there Sir", pointing to another room.
My heart sank when I entered the room, this was not good, only 3 passengers in there, but their cases were open & contents being scrutinised by Immigration Officers. I had nothing to worry about (except time, & Binions), but it's a bit disconcerting.
Eventually, after 20 minutes, I get called forward.
No "hi" or anything else, he cuts straight to the chase - "how many USD did you declare to the Immigration Officer?"
I tell him $9,900 (which was exactly correct) & he says no more. He has my Passport, & he's tip tap tapping for about 10 minutes. (What was he looking at?).
At which moment, I suddenly realize that when I packed yesterday (actually, I also unpacked yesterday from last year, too), I had found some USD shrapnel in my case, which I'd left in there for future use. $390, that's all, & I'd just stuck it in my pocket, but now I'm worried that he is gonna get arsey with me.
Anyway, eventually he lets me through, never asks to count the cash, nothing, & that was that. But it cost me 45 minutes, & I was in a bit of a head spin by now, & a bit lathered up, so even though Binions was still just about possible, I decided to give best, & be, for once, sensible.
So we start tomorrow (Saturday) now, at Venetian. Will bump the schedule shortly, for reference.

Mr Tikay sir, sent you a PM next door.
Thanks Matt - just seen it, & replied.
Cliffs, for those who re thinking "wtf"?
It was reported Next Door on the Forum that a long standing regular guy, very popular, had been diagnosed with cancer, & the regulars were forming a Team in his name to sort of show solidarity. I went on the thread, not having full possession of the facts, & typed something like "fingers crossed for a swift & full recovery".
Matt has just gotten me up to speed. It seems the chap had posted on Facebook (I don't use Facebook) as follows......
As some of you know I have been rather ill lately. The cause turned out to be jaundice and I have been released from hospital today after 3 weeks. I feel a lot better but I'm very tired and get out of breath very easily. The jaundice has cleared up almost but the reason for the jaundice is a lot more serious. After various minor ops and scans I have been diagnosed with cancer of the pancreas. The cancer has already spread to my liver and I'm afraid is terminal. If I can build my strength up after the jaundice there may be a chance I would be strong enough for chemo but I'm afraid this is the only option open to me now. If I can have the chemo the best I can hope for is that it gives me more time.
I don't really know what else to say apart from thank you for the good wishes I've already received and my poker career isn't quite over yet.
Isn't that just THE most awful thing?
Thanks to Matt, I've now amended my Post, hopefully before the lad or his family saw it.
God, how utterly dreadful.

Absolutely dreadful. My heart bleeds for people in this position.
'Cause every hand's a winner
And every hand's a loser
And the best that you can hope for is to die
In your sleep.
