I pick up this beauty.......
A-2-3-5-J
For those not familiar with Big O, this is a monster, and the perfect flipping hand.
It goes limp, limp.
POT
Geezer behind me repots, lol.
In they go.
He is a spot ahead at the top, and a spot behind at the bottom, but after the J-J-3 flop he is as good as dead, it runs out safely and we 2XUp to get back in the game with starting stack.

Very next hand - still Big O, it kicks off again.
Opener makes it 1,200 @ 200-400. I dither a bit, and take the low variance line by peeling with......
Geezer behind me now makes it 4,200. Ooh-er.
Opener peels.
Am just not sure how to proceed, so we come along.
It comes 8-5-3, so I have the nut low. We all get it all in, yikes.
They both have A-2-X-X-X
To my horror, I have walked into Aces and a wrap around the 5-3.
The turn comes a beautiful 10, but I have a ton of outs to dodge.
River gives aces man the flush, but pairs the board.
oioi
Batman says I get four sixths, some else says I get half plus a third, I say I get two thirds........
When the dust has settled, we have 27,000.
Second bullet you say? No ta.

We go to dinner, after 6 levels, with 25,000, v the average of 18,266.
Happy for now.
165 entries, 93 remain after most of level 7 just after the break.
Only hand of note in level 7 is when I open with....
Two callers.
I could not have flopped better.....
Maybe I should have checked here, to let them catch up, but I take the low variance line again and bet it, and they both fold.
That's us up to date.
Animalpoker (Rob Price) is on bullet #2, but has 35,000.

It's alright for these folks who were sleeping. Some of us have spent the last 4 hours agonising over whether you'd flicked the big blonde switch in the mother of all vegas blow ups.
Glad to see it - and you - are all good.

It nearly came to that after the early wobble, but we are sailing along steadily in calm seas now.
Half the field gone, 83 from 165 remain, average a smidgeon under 30,000, and we have 29,500.

I sat next to a doctor of criminal psychology at Binion's today who also has a second PhD in behavioural psychology (and for which she specialised in poker players).
I was convinced I had a tell on her and that she definitely wasn't laying a trap.
Yes. Was.
Still, it's given me plenty of time to enjoy a nice meal this evening. I've firmly established my position this trip as a bona fide rando moron.

No PhD's here, just moody buggers.
You feeling any better, John?
Level 8 complete, 71 left.
Only action of note was when I got to the river with 2nd nut low 2nd nut flush, but on a paired board.
Mr FOS bets into me and I make the call.
Confirmed FOS
SCOOPIO.
36,000 @ 500-1,000.

Morning Sir
Good work so far. The table you move to should have more cause for concern at the new arrival than you have at being the arrivee.

PLO orbit.
I make it 2,500 with......
One caller, and Mr FOS then pots it.
In they go, let's do this.
He has good kings, all Broadway stuff, in opposite suits.
He flops 4 to the flush on the 6 high flop, but fails to find another club or King.
Full 2XUp, 52,000 with blinds going 600-1,200 after the 10 minute break. (9 levels completed, 63 left from 165).

Thanks David.
Popped outside during the break, it is tipping with rain, very cold, and there is a gale blowing. Most un-Vegas.

Another small pot, 54,000 now, 61 left, average 40,574.
The Animal has north of 100,000.
