Yahoo well done on tour first cash. So pleased for you after the run you've been having. Looking forward to more cashes higher up the ladder.

Anyone wanna guess what seat number I get?

My crystal ball assures me you will get seat 6.

GL!

Well 6 is not ideal, but I'd take it over 2 any day.

There is no arguing with the crystal ball. It is bang on the money 11.1111% of the time in these very situations.

Scrap that crystal ball, it's shite.

At least the stakers will have SOMETHING back.

That's almost a result in itself.

Need to try & add to it now. We've still got some decent stuff lined up.

Here's the next few days schedule;

Friday 23rd June   WSOP   PLO8   1,500

Saturday 24th June   Venetian   PLO8   1,000

Sunday 25th June   Golden Nugget   PLO8   250

Monday 26th June   Golden Nugget   Big O   250

Tuesday 27th June   Golden Nugget   PLO8/O8/BigO   570

Genuinely, we have a shot in all of those.

On we go.

one of these annual trips of yours to vegas, would be great fun to get 70 or 80 people to torch a hundred bucks and get you playing the main event.

hypothetically, would you like to have a go some time? you ever played it in past years?

seen you say before that you are not keen on no limit holdem, but in the main i would be v surprised if you were a bad investment.

could be the next darvin moon...

The blonde folks did that some years ago actually.

I made day 2 & had a ball, but no cigar.

I did seriously consider playing a few NLH events this year, especially some Seniors or Super Seniors, but in the end I swerved them. Might still play a few NLH jobbies though, see how we go.

At present, I have just enough cash to pay all the scheduled entries, but nothing spare, so if I have a few binks, maybe I will.

Take this WSOP PLO8 thingy down>Buy into Main event as it is loose change in that scenario>Win main event>The stakers can all party for a year.

Simple enough plan.

No pressure or anything like... Smiley

Think we are something like 1 from 7 so far.

When I get a bit down about that, I always try to think of how far better players have had far worse runs.

I recall buying a WSOP stake in Chris Brammer some years ago, in 2012. He was playing a full schedule. Total cost was $47,000.

He went Zero from 17, never even made a single Day Two in seventeen attempts. And he can really play. What must THAT do to your head?

And on his 18th attempt, this happened;

2 years ago, Mr Channing was in his first year with Next Door, & so I was with him here every day.

Neil has 29 WSOP cashes, including twice being runner-up for 6 figure sums.

In his first 7 WSOP Tournaments that year, he never once got above starting stack.

Then in the 8th, he built a big stack & then lost the lot in a brutal outdraw.

I guess it's why we love poker, the glorious unpredictability.

As a pure recreational player, the key for me is to enjoy myself, & try my very hardest. Both those boxes are ticked.

When it starts this afternoon, I'll be shaking with excitement, & I'll love every minute, no matter what the result is.

Anyway, time for a power nap.

Good luck today.

You'll be glad to know that I'm going nowhere near the Rio this afternoon, so you should be safe Wink

Next up?

WSOP $1,5000 PLO8 at 3pm today. (11pm UK).

I'm gonna buy in now.

Anyone wanna guess what seat number I get?

Please don't be 2 or 7.

Well done on the first cash of the trip.  You just made the returns spreadsheet more complicated.

You posted your entry to the next tournament but I was going to say 7 or 2.  Because I'm witty like that.

Good luck tonight.
