I'm on a huge diet kick right now, lost over 2 stone since Xmas.
Unforch, other people's diets are like other people's holiday snaps, nobody gives a toss.
The aged troll nirvana - way too posh to have any street-cred - described it beautifully yesterday;
Easier than I thought but sound like a neurotic calorie counter whenever food is around in company which is a bit mono-conversational and boring - haven't managed to stop doing it yet.
Which describes it perfectly.
So I'll not bore you further with it, except to say I loathe the thought of "good" food & long walks, but the feeling after returning from a long walk 3 times a day is just great, as is putting on clothes which now fit comfortably. I even wear a pair of trackie bottoms which fall down constantly. And every time they fall down I feel bloody great about it.
Instead, I'll tell you about my new image, for when the diet ends.
And I confess, I've got a huge man crush on the chap below, who goes by the name of Nick Kent.
So this will be my new look.
Can you imagine anything more cool? Jeez, I can't wait to look like this.

Hope your beard is better than that, though!
I've a stone left to get rid of before the summer, and now the house is clear of easter eggs it should be downhill

I was reading some obscure Wiki page - think it was whilst researching Swedish golfers or whatever. When I watch a particular sport or documentary, I end up wiki-ing galore, & I somehow alighted on a famous Swedish golfer from a few years back, Jesper Parnevik.
And it was his children's names that caught my eye, & imagination. They are;
Peg Parnevik.
Phoenix Parnevik
Penny Parnevik
Pebble Peach Philippa Parnevik.
No, really. Those are their names.
One thing lead to another, & I began to think about the weird names celebs & the like give their kids.
Bob Geldof has;
Peaches Geldof
Pixie Geldof
Fifi Trixibelle Geldof
David Beckham has;
Brooklyn Beckham
Harper Seven Beckham
Romeo James Beckham
Cruz Beckham
Jonathan Ross has;
Honey Kinney Ross
Harvey Kirby Ross
Betty Kitten Ross
Jamie Oliver, the cook bloke, has;
Poppy Honey Rosie Oliver
Daisy Boo Pamela Oliver
Petal Blossom Rainbow Oliver
Buddy Bear Maurice Oliver
River Rocket Blue Dallas Oliver
Wonder if any blondes have kids with, err, "unusual" names?
Pretty sure nirvana & MANTIS would do that sort of thing.

This fella got Knighted recently.
Good luck to him, I'll not lose any sleep over it, but as easily the least-talented Beatle, & who has had a solo career that has not exactly set the world on fire, he's run pretty good to get that gong, I'd say.

Appealing to the memories of Blondeites here - I'm sure I remember a blonde post/article about the best table games & betting strategies to maximise free drink potential in Vegas. My Sister-inlaw is going for her 40th and isn't much of a gambler, but I can imagine her crew being all about the drinks..
Anyone remember the article/able to find it?
Also any advice for a non-gambler Vegas noob much appreciated.
Not sure if there is an article but Pai Gow poker is reckoned slowest way to lose/break even with drinks consumed

What a contrast.
These photos say so much about the difference in mindset between football fans & golf fans.

There's one of these in MGM (but less classy). You bet 25c (or multiples thereof) on the forecasts.
Pretty sure it's close to the cheapest way to get drunk in Vegas.

"Free" drinks
For table games, learn to play pai gow before you go (use wizard of odds simulator for a lesson) or even if not sure you can ask your dealer to set your hand. Tip the waitress and you'll get good service. The game has lots of ties so shouldn't be very swingy. On a full table, it is a slow game, but in a 5* casino you can get enough top shelf spirits to have Marky falling off his chair...
Slots, just be seen to be pushing the button and tip.
If you are drinking bottles of bud light, doesn't matter what casino you are in. If you want decent cocktails, the better the casino, the better the drinks as a fairly hard and fast rule.
The golden rule is to tip...those that don't tip are the ones that the servers avoid and/or complain to the management that you aren't playing "enough"

Think I've had a combo of this and a Pai Gow Poker post in my mind.
This one's a great read but would tilt sis-in-law.
Cheers!!

This guy @CarlBovisNature is well worth a follow on Twitter - takes some lovely photos and he's a gooner to boot.
For those who are not afficionados this is a chiffchaff amongst some spring buds

Hi Tony
Pretty sure you are not a fan of Colin Murray on the tv. I agree with you, however his at home podcasts are brilliant listening. Bobby George and Kris Akabusi the highlights for me.
Give it a try not like your usual interviews
