After flopping the nuts, and betting all the way, I get the lot in for a 31,000 pot with......
On this board......
Dealer announces "ace high straight" and pushes the chips to the other fella.
I nearly have heart failure and instinctively reach for pair of spectacles # 3 and do a double take.
Fortunately, 3 or 4 players holla "noooo, there no ace high straight" and once the pot had been chopped, I've visited the restroom to check all is well downstairs, and taken a calm down tablet, my ice cool demeanour is resumed.

Flop of
I have nut low with A-2-3 three way and have it in mind to call down as the ace is a bad card for the A-2 boys.
It goes 1,000 then three bet to 4,000, so have to fold for fear of being quartered.
Big sigh when the turn is the 5 which would have given me the wheel, and at that point I could never find a fold.
Bigger sigh of relief after the river, both of them had the wheel and one had the 6 high straight, so I would have been sixthed.

Was up to 19,000 and going along nicely when I get dealt......
Three limpers and I pot from the button.
I caller, who has just sat down with 15,000.
Flop
This is a dream spot and I must build the pot here
He bets, I 3 bet, bla bla bla we are all in.
He has
It runs out
Unavoidable.
Down to 4,000 at 150-300.
Ugh.

Down to 3,000 then doubled up, need to do it again though.
Full on gamble mode now, might as well go down fighting.
Radio silence until bust or double, gotta concentrate.

NO.
Busto in a monster 6 way 130,000 pot.
Flopped nut flush draw (clubs) and nut low draw on 7-8-Q flop, turn was my king of clubs for the temporary scoop, river was another 8 which gave the winner quads.
Fancied my chances when the cards were on their backs, not one player had a club in their hand and I hit on the turn.
Nasty stuff, not a great afternoon that.
