Puke!
Unlucky, Tony.
Rebuy?
think it was. Saving all the run good for tomorrow.
I got in super good with bullet 1 and bad with bullet two, hence am on 50k on the second bullet. "Freak show" as my table mate says every two minutes. We get 5 cards, if AA won every hand it would be a freak show.

In better news, Doobs found the secret of the game and got it in real bad with his second bullet, and is now sitting on a mountain of chips, at least 3 times starting stack.
Bloke is a proper player.
Good luck the Doobs.

Beat Of The Trip incoming.......
3 way to this flop, I have raised pre and collected two punters.
So I have the nut straight, nut flush draw and nut low draw.
It's bet then raised and I'm auto all-in. The bettor folds.
One caller, he has A-2-6-6-X for the same low and a set.
On their backs, and the fella not in hand says "I folded 9-9".
Turn improves me even further,
to give me nut flush for the made nut high and nut low draw.
The dealer then somehow finds this river.....
That's as brutal as it gets, and it's the 2nd time this trip rivered quads have done me.
Anyway, I played the hand just fine, so don't feel too bad, though nought for plenty is starting to sting.
Did Marky McBock rock up for that?
Not guilty, your honour.
I was still splashing around at Aria.

Unlucky again Tony,
Tomorrow is indeed the big one. $1500 buy in and my WSOP debut.
Really looking forward to it. I hope you get a nice little payback in the form of some run good of your own. I’ve got to say I am a little nervous going in, hoping not to get knocked out too early, I would love to make day two and maybe push on towards the money.

Tikay and Marky wishing me luck did for me. Got quartered with AA2xy. Getting it in good is no good, and then freak showed Mr Freak Show for a big pot. Then crippled in a big blind special. I had J456x, flop comes J42 and turn 3. Unfortunately A5 had the flush draw. Last hand was a standard 4 bb shove.
See you tomorrow Tikay.

Meanwhile, as I fret about my run-bad, I'm reminded that nearer to home, in Scotland, people have real problems.
This is tragic.

with one man stranded on a car roof

One's heart goes out to this poor chap, surrounded by water as much as ankle-deep.

44 degrees forecast in parts of Spain and 42 in France.
Meanwhile, in Birmingham, there's a beardy bloke building an ark.

Feeling a bit dirty this morning as I looked at Stu and Markys escapades before this, none of which was very fun.

The plo8 has a pretty long structure today. Starts with 25k with 100/100 blinds then two levels of 100/200. Suspect they coild lose a couple of levels at the start and be done by midnight. Could be a long grind. It looks like you can rebuy too, which screws up any chance of making the early start for the mixed O8 at the Nugget. Suspect lack of sleep will get me if I attempt both (4am wake up today!)
Strangely the mixed O8 with the same buyin stats with 10k chips. Better you'd think? But they have 2 pot limit levels of 100/100 and 4 of 100/200. So the limit levels are better? Nope, includes 2 levels of 200/300. Guessing by the end of the 2nd hour of 200/300 you'll have worked out what you can bet at least...
Please bring back 4500 starting chips and normal levels.

Very sad to see rebuys are now permitted. Changes the way the game plays completely, and certainly favours the Pros & those with deep pockets.
Anyway, it is what it is, a bit of luck & run-good & anything can happen.
Good luck today David, & also to pompeynic, aka Nick, from Next door who is making his WSOP debut.

The Mixed 08 structure last year was amazingly good. No idea if it has changed, but it seemed perfect to me.

Ha, no idea. Loved the mixed O8 last year obv. Maybe until the last hand anyway.
I wouldn't worry about rebuys with the plo8 structure. Suspect loads will survive until they can't rebuy with the pace so slow. Can just see me going level 1 now I have said it.
