I don't have a problem with Ryanair tbh, but hardly use them, and work incurs all the costs, so I book everything included.

BA, however, where I am a Gold Card member, I have nothing but issues.

Priority baggage every trip, nearly always off last, rarely get pre booked meals correct, loaded onto plane way too early, too often to just sit there for a slot, etc etc, and they never accept any responsibility or offer any compo.

I could respond to the BA issues at length, if you wish, Adz - if you’re interested.

Who would have thought a game only played by geriatrics could have resulted in this?

I wateched that Pulp documentary at the weekend, it was definitely a bit quirky, but enjoyed it.

I don't know how far your love of music stretches, but I know you like a good gangster story, so this sounds up your street  https://www.theguardian.com/music/2019/oct/14/tricky-interview.  It hasn't been published yet, so can't telly ou if it is good or not, but I am thinkig how can it not be?

Finally, Mount Blanc is the tallest mountain in Europe, just like Pluto is the smallest planet, yeah?

Well turns out it isn't, it is only the 7th biggest,

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Elbrus

I found it through discovering the nastiest outhouse in the World, as you do.  You can see it here.

http://www.greenadrenaline.com/blog/mount-elbrus-day-1

The trip report isn't bad either, there must be loads of little gems like that hidden around the interent.

Excellent now this thread is up and running again (hopefully)

Have you heard anything about or seen Compo?

Whilst trying to do my own research on the matter I see there is a good photo of the pair of you on Hendon mob

Guys, I really appreciate the questions & feel genuinely bad that I've yet to reply.

Been a bit out of it one way & another since I got back from Vegas, & needed to give some priority to my work Next Door. Been sort of permanently tired since Vegas too, though it seems to be passing. Just a sort of bad case of apathy & cba-ness.

Also, I have OCD about doing Diary stuff when I owe friends PM replies, & I've been behind with PM's for ages. Got 2 or 3 to do tonight (after I've finished my little jobs Next door) then I'm smack up to date with them. PM's always welcome of course, especially from friends.

Have been saving up stuff for the Diary, so it's just about possible there will be an interesting post or two in amongst my usual dross.

As I've become so ill-disciplined, I'm going to set a target of x Posts per day for a week or so, & see how that goes. Chances of that working? Ladbrokes will offer a decent price.

OK, gotta get back to what I was doing Next Door. BRB. Ish.

Morning.

OK, off we go.

Whilst I was AWOL, I kept saving links to this & that which I thought may be of interest to some of you.

I promised myself this would be the first one to go up.

I'm a little embarrassed to say I spend a ton of time Online, maybe 15+ hours per day, though it's mostly work, so I get a pass for that.

Of all the stuff I have seen Online in 2019, this is the clear winner, I love it to bits & watch it again & again. It's only 42 seconds so I'm sure you can spare that. The comments help, too, but they take a little longer to peruse.

Watch, particularly, the eyes.

Spotted this yesterday, & it got me thinking.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-50041711

I'll admit I've never been a Gazza fanboy, and he was certainly bang out of order & un-necessarily mean & rude.

But "sexual assault"? Seems a bit strong. Must be some law "public nuisance" or whatever for which they can give him a slap on the wrists or even Community Service or somesuch? We know he has had a few mental health & addiction issues, it maybe needs to be seen in that context.

Instead, we have a full-blown trial, jury, the full works, & it's scheduled to last 5 days.

How much public money must all that palaver cost? Bet it's £100,000 if it's a penny (pure guess on my part) by the time the Police time, resource & costs are included, then all the legal fees for solicitors, barristers, & all the legal rigmarole.

For being rude & kissing someone on the lips?

Here he is arriving at Court yesterday.

Due to how "the system" works, this will need to be fully investigated too.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-50042406

I suppose checks & safeguards are needed, but this one sticks in the throat a little.

In fairness, the various authorities seem to have done a great job of tracking him down.

Fair play to them, that's impressive sleuthery.
