Hello Everyone,
Did I miss the memo? the one about this blog was having a Dry January? Now I know I'm a bit of a mute Blonde bibliophile, but surely there are some
anecdotes of times gone by, funny stories; even comments about all the Brexit parties people will surely be having tomorrow night.
Reading and even writing is a great endorphin producing process, so the catalyst for all of us to come here to read and contribute needs to buy
a SAD Light to combate the worst desease of us Old Fogeys - CBA.
This is from a guy who lives in Grimsby, so cheer me up everyone.

Preparation for Vegas is double this year, and Dr Kendall has enrolled himself in an SAS bootcamp.
He'll be back in March if he passes selection

Thanks Dave, also (I suppose) Marky & chubby chops.
Make sure you get your 'flu jabs. What an absolute bugger it's been. Fighting fit & raring to go now though, will try to get some Diary stuff up before we leave the EU. Got to catch up on PM's first though, apologies to those I owe replies to.

Are you still walking?
Sometimes it is a struggle to get the kids to walk the 5 minutes to school...

Hi David,
I read a book about walking the Appalachian Trail by Bill Bryson, most enjoyable, but not something I'd ever want to do.
I've been a little under the weather for a few months, but have been better for a few weeks now & so I started my daily walks again. At first even on short 1 milers I was coming home gasping for breath, but I've built up to 3 walks a day, 1 x 1 mile & 2 x 2 mile, & I manage therm comfortably now. Well, not exactly comfortably, but I manage them.
Have managed to lose over a stone too, all of which helps.
As you know, as you post Next Door from time to time, I'm quite busy there. Well done on doing so well in the Sunday Major, including taking it down a few weeks ago.

Fair to say this caused a right hoo-hah on Twitter, though of course they get angry over the most minor matters on Tweetville.
Hard to understand how anyone could give a different answer than 2 C.

Without googling, how long since these went out of circulation?
I guessed 5 years. not far out, as it happens.

Think I'd give anything to be able to write this well.

I'm saying 30 years cos I remember finding pound coins with my metal detector circa 1988.
