Bowling alley vidoe bloke has his own channel where you can see similar work, but this is pretty quirky.

Quirky but really well done. Cheers Doobs.

While on quirky things - how Dundee United became Nigerian slang for an idiot Cheesy

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2021/mar/11/the-unlikely-story-of-how-dundee-united-became-an-insult-in-nigeria

I Just wish I knew a United fan to annoy about it Cheesy

I love strange stories like this, like the Albanian President starting a Celtic Supporter's Club, or Stenhousemuir having a Supporters Club in Norway.

Amid much fanfare & hoohah, Downing Street released photographs of the new Press Briefing Room today.

Not sure I'd want to be the poor cleaner who left Henry in the corner.

Saw this on Twitter & it amused me more than it should.

It was originally assumed these well-decorated chaps were North Korean, & as it's a very long time since they've had a proper war, the Tweeter mused on what they had done to get so many gongs. Then someone suggested they may be Vietnamese soldiers, and of course they've had a bit of a war. Even so, them's a lot of medals.

Cheesy Mind you if the Yanks didn't use the ribbon system they'd be looking similar. Medals for serving in different places, medals for being able to shoot, medals for passing training courses. To the point that the nickname for the ribbon bar is a fruit salad.

Looking further into it I picked a bad example - I'd love to hear this guy’s story.

This bar starts with the Distinguished Service  Cross, but is on an Air Force Uniform with the Air Force Distinguished Service Medal after it, less than 50 DSC's have been given to Air Force ever, mostly during the Korean War.
includes a Purple Heart for being wounded in combat (with 2 oak leaf clusters, so 3 Purple Hearts) and ends with the UN Service Medal (for Korea) & the  Vietnam Campaign Medal, so not all for minor things of course in fact I'd guess there could have been a lot  more but whoever this was they've left the minor awards off.

Loved him, think everyone did. Saw him at Griffin Park many a time. No messing with him either.

Jack Taylor was my other favourite.

Love this guy, & I think he'll do a great job. Stardom beyond the news studios  beckons.

The standard on Mastermind these days!

17pts was enough to win it last night, and it won comfortably.

Even so, I bet nirvana still outscored you.

You still in touch with Edna? She'd be a Mastermind whizz too, pretty sure of that.

For old times sake I just looked up her last THM entry. Some memories there.

Just looking at Frank Worthington's daughter's Facebook reminded me of this article.

https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-45116614

I am terrible with song lyrics, and frequently coming across songs that I happily sang along to when I was younger, but never realised what they were about.  This one I thought I knew what it was about, but obviously didn't get every reference.  Who knew sheela na gig's were a real thing, and more weirdly were put on the side of churches?

Love this song still.
