Just going to wrap this up.  Killer hand was AK2x Vs AK5y.  Raise pre Vs SB.  Flop was KT2.  Check, Bet, call.  Turn was a King.  Check, Bet call.  River a 5.  Check, bet, call.  Suppose was lucky he didn't check raise the river. Was just a big cooler as he struggles to fold anywhere.

Not going to get involved in "I run so bad" talk.  Had ATTx Vs AKyz on QJT flop yesterday when short.  All in on flop, as had less than pot behind.  The board paired.

Also had AK2x Vs AAyz all in pre when fairly short.  Flopped wheel.  He has previously 3 bet called AJ43, so wasn't really expecting a tight 3 bet range so 4 bet shoved.

Unlucky man
Great run
Congratulations on more cashes
See you tomorrow unless I catch you in the cash area
I’m shamefully drinking on cash to make it 7 days out of 8

Must have just missed you. Went down to do the cashier and went to see you after, but there was someone else just sitting down in your chair.

For those unaware, Tikay must have had one of the worst draws in the tournament.  Chris Vitch was on his direct right.  He has 3 bracelets and I played with him on day 1 (on my right thank goodness).  He late regged and spun his 25k up to 100k in no time.  Was very much controlled aggression, hitting every scary flop and betting accordingly.
Would put him right up there with the likes of Benny Glaser.

And I'm his left was the fella who won this very tournament last year.  He was Swedish and was another fully prepared to bet his blockers.

To get through that to the cash and then the last 100 or so is pretty good going.

See you tomorrow.

As an aside the cash out in Paris was pretty quiet when I went down, so now would be a good time if you need to do it.  Needed to fill a form in and go to the cage to get my prize in my poker account.  So won't have to queue for any rebuys tomorrow.

Final aside, noticed that Ben and Jerry's do Cherry Garcia flavour still (never see it in the UK anymore, was always my favourite).  Did a quick calc and thought it must have a good balance of protein, carbohydrate and fat, so was the equivalent of one diet shake.  So got in a mini celebration.  Back on the terrible shakes tomorrow.

In worse news, Daniel Negreanu was heads up when I left.  Would have stayed to anti-funk, but need to keep up the #positivity.

Wow ... just dropped in here for the first time in a long time and stumble into these updates!   Congrats on the cashes in Vegas Doobs and TK.

Been playing a lot more recently (& crushing it 😁) as my now 18 yo  (only seems like 5mins since I blogged about him being born!) 🫣 has started playing and doing well.   Off to DTD tomorrow for the £125 which I'm buying him into for his 19th Birthday pressie ... Mrs not happy.

Good to see a lot of the old names still around ... run good 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Good to see the return of Tony’s adventures
We are out Tuesday for 15 nights
Staying at southpoint where they have a 2 pm Omaha 08 tourney
They also have a great steakhouse in the name Silverado we took Michelle and Ian Bennett there last year who in turn took Phillip heald and Andy Bradshaw there all agreed it’s a great steakhouse and a reasonable price
No poker plans this year for me
A) I’m shit 😂
B) knee and hip arthritis means after 90 mins I need a crane to get me out of the chair

I saw Eric Clapton at Nottingham 15? /20 years ago obv he was v good maybe he likes shitholes like Nottingham?

Retirement is on the horizon for me I guess at 67 this year but I’m not ready to throw my collection of thermal cups n flasks out to pasture yet
I now work for Ocado drinving and delivering groceries to shitholes like Nottingham also to some lovely rural routes within 85 miles of Peterborough
I meet some lovely people and deliver to some fab houses / halls which you wouldn’t even know were there .old ladies being the best tippers btw I always say itipping shows some class youngsters with big houses n suvs on the drive may have few bob but they have no class 400 deliveries last xmas time yielded £40 and a tin /plastic tub of quality street so it’s quite lucrative lol 😂

Congrats on your latest cash Tikay. Really enjoying yours, and Stuart R's, updates.

I am another 'sky reg' not able to get to grips with the new Sky Poker home. Unable to download the client, so have just played some freerolls on the website.......and not really impressed with the whole set up with that TBH.

Going to have a break with online (probably way overdue anyway) until I get back from Vegas (Did I mention I was going this year?  Roll Eyes ), and then look for other sites to join/play on. Shame really, as I would say over 95% of my online playing was on Sky Poker.

Looks like you will not be out there when the package winners get there. Another shame. I was going to buy you a coffee and an iced bun too  Smiley . Really looking forward to my trip though.....albeit with some fear at being overwhelmed by it all and completly out my depth.

Well done to the other cashes jumping on this diary to boast too
