Why is the 'must move' rule in place?

For exactly that reason, so the "main" game doesn't get broken up by existing players running over to join what is usually a juicier looking option. Especially when the two options are a) A game with hinge and bracket, or b) a game without hinge and bracket and with Tikay.

Imagine how the guy who was stuck £2k felt as they all rushed off to the other table

Exactly that. As I now, belatedly, realise.

There was, however, one thing which lightened the Friday night gloom at Luton.

I get a bit of tounge-in-cheek stick at Luton, "ooh, the celeb is on our table" sorta thing. Tongue-in-cheek, but really quite nice if truth be told, I can't deny. Total tosh, as all parties realise, but anyway, I digress.

So, as I mentioned, the mood was black, & I can hear all sorts of sarcy mardy comments about me going off - "he thinks he's a fucking celebrity, & can make his own rules" sort of thing. Hmmm.

And then I hear - "yeah, who does he think he is?, he's just a poncy nancy, fancy coming into a cardroom wearing make-up"......

Which was the moment I realised that in my rush to exit Sky & get to Luton, I'd forgotten to remove my Studio Make-Up.

tiky is bright. tikay is orange.

Rant-time.

Heard of "Jordan"? She's something of a, well, unusual looking young-lady, a one time Model I believe. And she's an item with some strange geezer called Pater Andre, whoever he may be. I imagine an intellectual conversation with those two is something to behold. And I'm not sure, as Mrs Merton might say, what Andre sees in the clinically buxom young lady. Who, by the way, has re-named herself - eh? - "Katie Price". Like we don't know who she is now.

But I'm actually quite respectful to Katie/Jorden, because she carries a heavy load in life, & no, I don't mean her frontal areas.

She has a Son - by a footballer chappie I believe - who is "not a well child". To be more precise, his name is Harvey, & he suffers from a rare genetic disorder. It's called "septo-optic dysplasia". As a result, the poor lad is visually-impaired. And as he has impaired movement, together with & hormonal disorder which makes him clinically obese, you can imagine life ain't a bundle of fun for Mother or Son.

So, hands up the pratt in "Heat" Magazine (published by EMAP) that came up with the idea to produce a sticker which said "Harvey wants to eat his Mum", accompanied by a picture of the lad.

It's tough to imagine how sick the minds of some folks are. I mean, who on EARTH could consider that funny, clever, or in good taste?

I'd love to meet said pratt, spit in their face, & piss in their eye. And I hope that in their next life, they suffer the same as young Harvey has.

I couldnt agree more Tony.

Little compensation, but I would imagine it will cost them a tidy penny in an "out of court" settlement

Sadly not. They issued a "small print" apology, & that's that.

The magazine - "Heat" is total shite, too. They big-up Celebs, then take the piss out of them, in keeping with the British tradition. There's a pic of Sarah Harding with a nipple showing, another of Tom Cruise who has wax in his ear.

Riveting stuff.

Perish the thought......

But yes, Celebs are fair game. Their disabled or impaired kids are not.

Ok ive decided to post about what happened on friday night.

For those players that play regular in the dealers choice the situation arises about every 6-8 weeks. Its angleshooting to make sure they are in the better of the 2 games. I understand why it happens and as long as it is nipped in the bud as soon as it starts it isnt a problem.

Friday it was a problem.  I get my seat in the D/C £100 game (not £200 as mentioned before) i sit in the game for about 4-5 hours not much action and im losing a little. Tikay texts me saying he is on his way so i put his name on the board. As he arrives they start a 2nd game and he joins straight away.

We lose a player from our table and i ask for a player from the feeder. The cardroom MANAGER walks over to the feeder game then walks away.
After 5 mins i ask HIM again where our player is. At this point the table are told they are a different game therefore no-one has to move. We ask by what way are they different HE says that they all sat down with at least £200(as it turns out all the players on our table also sat with at least £200. 1 guy being in for £2000). I ask what blinds they are playing its 3-3 so the same. HE replies but they are paying a £10 table charge whereas you are paying £8 I then ask if he has actually taken a charge from them yet and he says no but it will be £10 when i do.

The players in the feeder game mainly knew that they should move and the player at the top of the list knew he should be moving.

Hinge and Bracket now decide they have had enough of this they make some unsavoury comments about the MAN IN CHARGE and leave the game. 2 more players now leave the game as they are feed up waiting for the situation to be resolved. Now 3 handed our table has broke and we are offered to draw for the 1 avalible seat in the feeder game.

Now i know this isnt the biggest problem in the world ever but im a player who believes in rules and rules that are in place should be enforced the same each and everway.

Although it was a big issue at the time i hope it has been resolved fully now. I thank Nina for her efforts in resolving the problem she realised a mistake was made apologised to the table and assured us that it wouldnt happen again. Also when i got home i found a nice PM from her on Blonde. Whereas the so called CARDROOM MANAGER his response was well im getting charges off both tables so whats the problem.

Nina for President

rant over

I agree, but when you willingly partake in a poor-taste race to the bottom for personal gain, complaining when your partners-in-crime take things too far rings a bit hollow.

being a regular at luton i feel that the biggest problems we have is consistency and lack of information-if there were any rules about this situation posted on the walls or in a rule book in the casino then there is no grey areas when players try it on-ive been there before when players have tried it on or there is a ruling and can have ten different answers...for a cardroom which could be the best this does get frustrating and i really hope that something is sorted sooner rather than later
p.s. i second nina for president especially if ashley can be first lady!!!
