On with the celebration of Spring.
Here's a giraffe chick, or baby, or whatever a baby giraffe is called.

...and this is a Galagapos Tortoise, over 70 years old, who's lived in Berlin Zoo since 1946. She became a Mum for the first time last week, & here's the proud Mum & her shy baby. Shy? Yup. Rarely comes out of it's shell.

This is a Sparrohawk, & these gave me so much pleasure when I was Golfing at Royal Ormonde. They hover endlessly when they spot their prey, & then swoop. But they can also catch their prey "on the wing", & that was how this unfortunate Woodpecker met it's untimely end. Sparrowhawks are not terribly popular among birds, they are sort of bird-terrorists.

Here's another Sparrowhawk, busy eating it's still-warm dinner. Don't **** with Sparrowhawks, innit?

I seem to live in my own little world - I only just discovered, quite by chance, that it's Easter Weekend.
I guess the Clocks will go forward soon. I know this sounds improbable, but I've not out them back yet at home, (due last October?), I never quite got round to it. Ah well, I suppose I've saved time. (Apologies to Andrew T for imposing on his Pun-Territory).

I saw him on Monday Ralph, & you'll be pleased to know he's now restored his hair to it's unruly, stickyupness best.
Your eyes better now?

Yes thank you Tony, I'm now fit as a fiddle.
Just waiting for some nice weather to bring my golf game out of hibernation.

The mind boggles......
Des Duffy has a legendary reputation as a negotiator - I mean, just don't go there, he's unplayable.
In the course of an e-Mail exchange between Des Duffy, & Tighty, & myself, yesterday, something cropped up which lead me to suggest that perhaps Des should bring his awesome negotiating skills into play, I actually said "it's time for the Duffy Hammer to come out".
I nearly died when I got Tighty's reply.
"Duffy's Hammer?, never mind that, wait till I employ the Tighty Belly-Flop".
Oooooh!

That is THE definitive "belly-flop" in fact that photo should be inserted in all dictionaries.
