We stopped off at the Hacienda Casino on the way back to Vegas for something to eat. The buffet was $6. Can you imagine how much the two of them can eat for $6.
As we were leaving they spotted a craps table and they along with Anthony pulled up $100 each. Anthony rolled about 50 times and they took about $4k off the table and LLoydy put $25 on a number once which came in. You could see the floor manager almost cry as they walked out with all the money. The cashier had to phone upstairs for any payment of more than $300 so you can imagine how small this place plays.
Im off to check the share prices right now.

Days Inn, Luton, Tuesday
.
I can't believe how this thread has provoked so much debate about Drugs, (keep it coming), all starting with the Dwain Chambers stuff. More of which later, but I don't think I'd better join the drug debate, I'm rigidly opposed, & it's not an argument anyone can win.
Incredibly fatigued this morning, & was zombie-like in this morning's meeting.
Then across to The Western for a Sky Poker Staff get-together, again, more later.
Was back in Luton by 6pm, to a shed-load of e-Mails, some of which were just staggeringly disappointing. The Online poker world is just heaving with scammers, blondepoker seems to have it's share, & it's hacked me off no end. I'd best say no more on that. For now......
Decided, for the first time in months, (first opportunity), to play the Laddies Daddy, I love that Comp. Found AQ second hand, flop was Q high, played it soooo cute, & me & Ollie Oppo check-Raised each other all the way. His set of sevens was good, & I departed in 171st place. Of 171. I play so different Online, so much looser & lairier & dafter. Am I alone in this? I'm Tony Take-No-Chances Live, but Online, somehow it plays different.
But I'm playing the blonde Super Tuesday $50k jobbie. Began with 2k chips, took a rebuy immediately, & I've run it up to 3,145 already. Nice Comp mind, very, very, slow, ideal for me, but I'm playing it way too fast. It's that Online thing I think.

Went to Luton last night, it was a £30 Super-Sat to the Fessie Main Event. I was umming & arring as to whether to play it (I was in Luton anyway, so at a loose end), but I discovered in the nick of time it was self-deal, on those daft round Tables. Why? Tradition I suppose, they've always done that at Luton, but sorry, I just think that's wrong, self-deal, at a Proper Venue, in this day & age? But as long as players accept it, it'll continue. I decided against it though, I just think that's the wrong road to take
It got 30 odd runners, & made £4,680, making 4 seats & £460 to 5th I think. I gather the Final Table decided to chop-up the £460 & just play for the 4 seats. An odd chop, as chops go.
I played DC instead. That got interesting, too....

I Check-Raised Mr Loose-Goose All-in with 9-9, he called me with 10-10. At this stage of a Live Tourney, I'd never do that, as I don't need to. Stupid.

The Nazi Pervert who is President of the FIA, Max Mosley, got caught with his pants down, good & proper. He's not denying it - he can't - but hes suing the News of the World for "invasion of privacy". That'll solve everything.
He refuses to resign from the FIA, but F1 is a Worldwide Premium Brand, & he's a goner, for sure. But the "Team Ethic" has not occurred to him, he wants to cling on, & muddy the name of F1 & the FIA rather than pay his bill. (Team Ethic reminds me of that eejit Argie Liverpool player who got himself sent off deliberately, with no thoughts for the effect on his team of his absence. And you'd think a Pro outfit like Liverpool might have worked it out that perhaps it'd be best if the Captain - & only the Captain - dealt with "refereeing problems", but I think most Pro footballers must be thick, because it's obvious that harassing the Ref achieves precisely zilch).
So, Mosley won't resign, & is hiding in his corner, about to be tin-tacked. Half a brain & he could have negotiated a fee to go "quietly", but that's his outlook.
Anyway, & this is the point. I love elegantly done stuff, & I used to work for a guy who could give you a pay
de
crease, & you'd leave his Office thinking he'd doubled your salary, he was so good with words. The following letter was sent to Max Mosley this week, the week of the F1 Grand Prix in Bahrain.......
"Dear Max,
I was sorry to learn of the media stories which emerged on Sunday in the UK.
In light of the allegations, I suspect you may be deliberating on your planned attendance at the Grand Prix here in Bahrain later in the week. I therefore felt it important to convey the position of Bahrain and it's people.
Clearly of paramount importance is the success of the event for all concerned - the Kingdom of Bahrain, Formula 1, and spectators. The focus quite rightly should be on the race.
With great regret I feel that under the current circumstances, it would be inappropriate for you to be in Bahrain at this time.
I don't want to add to the difficulties in which you find yourself, but I hope you understand the position we have taken.
Yours sincerely,
Shaikh Salman Bin Hamad Al-Khalifa,
Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Bahrain."
How delicious is THAT?
Meanwhile, the oaf Mosley thinks he can hang onto his job. I bet he probably replied, "No Princey boy my old mucker, I don't mind at all".
How on earth did one so dense & decadent get a job like that?
Respect to The Prince (or his Letter-Writing Equerry), what a stonking letter!
This tale gets better & better.
The Fascist Mosley refuses to leave with dignity, & is determined to bring shame on F1 & the FIA in an attempt to hang on to his job, a completely untenable situation. Every F1 Affiliated Country - bar Brazil - now refuse to support, or work with, Mosley, & it's can only end in his exit, the sooner the better. Bahrain barred him, & others will, obviously.
He got the job because his mucker, Bernie Ecclestone, (who gets what he wants in F1) lobbied for him to get the job, so he did, but now he's even putting his mate Ecclestone into the poo.
Yesterday's Times reported this delicious exchange......
"...it emerged yesterday that after the publication of the letter from the Crown Prince of Bahrain telling Mosley he was not to come to the Grand Prix, a furious Moseley called Ecclestone, & shouted abuse down the 'phone about the Gulf Kingdom, & said he did not want to ever go there again. Unknown to Mosley, Ecclestone was sitting next to the Crown Prince, who is thought to have heard everything. Mosley rang the Bahraini ruler to apologise.
Bet that was an awkward convo. Need more than Cooey-Wooey there.
No word yet on how Big Bernie is taking all this.

And for TJ; If you thought the Shannon Matthews story was strange/cruel and everything that could be wrong with the world.
..how sick and greedy do you have to be to think "I'll ask for money from the McCann fund to make a few quid"?
From the BBC Website;
"Shannon-McCann fund link probed
Karen Matthews is being questioned at Wakefield police station
Claims the Madeleine McCann fund was approached for money to assist the search for Shannon Matthews are being investigated by police.
It is understood during the time nine-year-old Shannon was missing, the McCann family was asked for money towards helping find the schoolgirl.
West Yorkshire Police said it had been in touch with fund representatives.
One man has been charged with abducting Shannon. Her mother, Karen Matthews, has been arrested.
The Madeleine fund was set up to help in the search for the three-year-old who has not been seen since she went missing in Portugal in May last year.
It is understood one request to the fund was made by a man claiming to be a freelance journalist who was seeking money to help in the search for Shannon.
Shannon Matthews was missing for 24 days before being found
The Madeleine fund later received a one-line email asking for money, and on another occasion someone claiming to be close to Shannon's mother made a call to representatives of the McCanns.
Officers from West Yorkshire Police confirmed they are investigating the alleged approaches to the McCanns.
Meanwhile, detectives continue to question Shannon's mother, Karen Matthews.
The 32-year-old is being held on suspicion to pervert the course of justice.
Michael Donovan, 39, has been charged with abducting Shannon, who was found safe on 14 March, 24 days after she went missing.
Mr Donovan, of Lidgate Gardens, Dewsbury, who was formerly known as Paul Drake, is the uncle of Shannon's stepfather Craig Meehan."
It's moved on now.
Today's Times reports two sources - the Social Services and the Police (leaked snippets allrgedly) suggesting Shannon has indicated a "strong desire" not to return home again. Which I guess we knew - she had been "abducted" for 24 days & yet here we are, a fortnight or more later, & she's still not been re-united with her Mother. There'd normally be the private & the "staged" tearful reunion, but there's been no re-union, apart from a brief "supervised" visit by the Mother. That was always the giveaway.
Now Sky News report the CPS as stating.....
"Having carefully considered the file supplied by West Yorkshire Police, we have decided that there is sufficient evidence and have authorised that Karen Matthews should be charged with perverting the course of justice and child neglect."
So now it's moved to "child neglect" by the mother.
The Stepfather got unlucky really - he got "accidentally" caught (as part of the course of the investigatioin) with 130 indecent child photos on his PC , & faces 10 specimen charges of indecency. Tough outdraw, that.
His mother & sister have been charged, too, with obstructing police & perverting the course of justice.
Uncle Micky, who Shannon gets on well with, has been charged with the "abduction", & has since "self-harmed" himself.
Further charges, against other family members, are said to be in train.
This must be one of THE great news stories of the last 20 years, quite astonishing. Child-disappearances, after this, & the McCann story, will never be the same again.
It makes the amazing John Stonehouse story look like small beer.
But at least it has a happy ending, or it looks like it has - Shannon has a new life now, but what a road she has travelled, poor kid. Youngsters have amazing resilience, & she can still have a good life.

by the looks of it mother and family members using the child to extort money from donators.....lowest of the low.
I saw that The Sun gave £50,000 to a "find Shannon" campaign..the total raised from the general public to add to this.. £500!!!
maybe the great British public really can smell a rat from a mile off

I have to disagree Tikay - Shannon is just starting a terrible jouney of acceptance that her family (allegedly) decided to abduct her for financial gain. This is the family who have given her her moral code, warmth, roof over her head and whatever their level of safety is.
However bad that was, it was what Shannon was used to, and accepted as the norm. To have the security of that in tatters makes her life up to now almost farsical (sp?) as if everything she has learnt and lived with is no longer true or right.
Obv to those of us looking in it's patently not right what she may have been subjected to but to her it's what she's used to. But as she gets older and the realisation of some of the things that have happened in that household become understandable to her I think she will suffer greatly from it.
Physical abuse is bad enough but the mind is very powerful and will continue to cause her problems for a long time if not throughout her remaining childhood and adult life. It's not as cut and dried as we would like to hope.

Monkey Harris was amongst the DC ensemble at Luton last night.
He's an interesting character, capable, as Tighty once famously said, of creating an argument with a plant pot.
Anyway, Monkey has changed, as he reminded us several times last night, and he no longer argues in Cardrooms, fair play to him.
But someone said "yes you do, you still argue".
"No I don't, I've packed up arguing with you lot".
"No you have not".
"YES I HAVE"....
It was all over inside 20 minutes though, & peace was restored. Golden.
He won a few bob too. Go Monkey.
