yes I agree, great show. you really got across your knowledge and huge enthusiasm for the game.Well done mate, you can be proud !
Mrs slowmo says pink is very trendy so despite my own reservations, i will have to bow to your collective fashion sense . being in touch with your feminine side is a good thing. maybe u need to shop for matching accessories.
i even ensured i was eliminated from the tourney at
DT
D
so I was home to watch. Hope the big suits were pleased.
Big suits pleased? Strangely, & so far, yes. I've had a text from one, & an e-Mail from another, both very pleased. (Both SkyBet/SkyPoker). One added "and it will get better". Oops, I am not sure how to take that!
They probably mean you were the weakest Analyst of choice and that the show will obviously get better when other analysts step in.. obv
For the first time - ever - you may be right. 'Ling was just brilliant, & even she was pumped up at the end. She's a great kid.
Lol.. i was only joking
Glad to hear it went well

After today, I'm not scheduled to do another Thursday (Five-O night) until the end of May, 6 weeks away
,
Travesty if you ask me - why keep the best pairing on poker Tv off the air until then??
Oi!!
Btw, dont know how to insert old quotes but my Dad was a mate of Kenneth Williams as they spent a lot of time together (!) in the army. He was in ENSA along with Stanley Baxter, John Schlensinger doing their bit ala It aint half hot mum. Lovely Boys!!!

Yup - so busy trying to do what was called "the explainer" I missed the choppity chop. It was not a "real" hand, it was a pre-tourney example from yersterday, but I was pretty mad about it.
If only everyone had missed the choppity chop while you were broadasting my AK v Scottie's AQ on Saturday. /me sighs deeply

Well played the deadly duo.....the show came across very professional and entertaining....great to see Sky Sports on board.
A couple of pts: Maybe a couple of "poker pros" playing as guests would be better for an "elite" show with a £100 buy in and just 50 runners. . It would be good to hear how/why they played that hand, and players are less likely to try and call/raise with rubbish to get a £100 bounty. With quality rather than quantity in mind , any chance of longer levels ie 10 mins?.....that way you can maybe fold AJ and not re-raise with it

good post big nose - spot on.
Was delighted to see you this past week-end, but kept my distance (a bit) because I knew you were up to yer eyeballs in it running the tournament...and doing a VERY fine job, indeed.
As for this diary. Love it!!! We get to see what's going on in that brain of yours when you're given time to think. So please, I know you're busy, but whenever you have time...give a visit and a post or two here in your diary. Makes up for not having the proper chats when everyone's busy at live events.
Last, but not least...MIND YERSELF!!! I've still not recovered from the week-end, so I've no idea how you're managing it.
xx
It was grand to see you at the weekend.
More than I can say about Iron. I was announcing All-In's, & he summoned me right across the Cardroom - "tikay, come here, QUICK, 3 way All-In". (This was in Level One - it must have been, he was still in).
I rushed across, fought my way round the obstacle course that Cardrooms are, & got there.
And I announce, almost gob-smacked, "wow, THREE WAY ALL-IN, & ONE OF THE PLAYERS IS HOLDING
...another
, & the third has
"....
Now I've got their attention, & 250 folks are listening, I turn my attention to the Board. "And with THREE players all-in, , A-3, 5-8, 2-4, the Board reads......
......"
Bloody Scottish buffoon.
Nice one Iron!

Am feeling as flat as a pancake today, the adrenelin hangover has kicked in, & I'm grumpy & tetchy, & arguing with all & sundry. That sundry fella is never bloody wrong.
My "to-do" List gets longer, & my memory gets shorter. I should have dealt with this a fortnight ago, dammit.
After the last 3-2-1 "Guess How Many Runners" Comp, two blondes who won part of the Prize (£50 each) wrote to me.
One said he could not accept the cash from me, he saw it as just a bit of fun, & the other said "thank you, but I'd like to donate it to the blonde Cardroom or any cause likely to benefit blonde".
So £100 will go to Kev, for him to use in the blonde Cardroom for whatever purpose he sees fit. I hope he uses it as Added Money or somesuch in a little ($5 or whatever) blonde Comp.
And big thanks to karabiner & boldie, top blokes both, albeit one very old & the other very bold. Sorry, bald, but it does not rhyme so good.

As uncool as it's possible to be. Last uttered a sentence that did not begin "me & Freddie...." in 1987.

Saw Queen live at the MK bowl when I was 17 - first ever concert. Brian May climbed onto the scaffolding at the side of the stage over the audience and was doing a wonderful electric guitar solo when the cord flew out as it had stretched as far as it was going to stretch and it was complete silence. Chaos as the band wasn't expecting to start playing at that point and were all standing round having a drink.

Saw Aerosmith at Hammersmith on the Pump tour - no idea how he does it. He was no spring chicken even then.
