Am feeling as flat as a pancake today, the adrenelin hangover has kicked in, & I'm grumpy & tetchy, & arguing with all & sundry. That sundry fella is never bloody wrong.

My "to-do" List gets longer, & my memory gets shorter. I should have dealt with this a fortnight ago, dammit.

After the last 3-2-1 "Guess How Many Runners" Comp, two blondes who won part of the Prize (£50 each) wrote to me.

One said he could not accept the cash from me, he saw it as just a bit of fun, & the other said "thank you, but I'd like to donate it to the blonde Cardroom or any cause likely to benefit blonde".

So £100 will go to Kev, for him to use in the blonde Cardroom for whatever purpose he sees fit. I hope he uses it as Added Money or somesuch in a little ($5 or whatever) blonde Comp.

And big thanks to karabiner & boldie, top blokes both, albeit one very old & the other very bold. Sorry, bald, but it does not rhyme so good.

Nice one old and bald.

What TJ is saying is of course completely wrong...I said "Give me all of your pension old man!" but TJ thought I was talking to Kab and therefore ignored me...typical of old people really..their memory sucks.

One thing that I do feel that it is necessary to clear up, is that when Boldie and his lovely missus were visiting Nottingham a week or two back I did manage to establish something that most regular forum users must have been dying to know, and after posing the burning question this is from the horse's mouth.

"Boldie" was not originally a typo...

The wet autumn, & now cold spring, has caused big problems to the Bee population. Many are dying, & the Bee Count is very much lower than is usual at this time of the year.

So what?

Well, it's suggested that of every three mouthfuls of food we consume, one mouthful is the product of something a bee is responsible for polinating. No Bees, & our food production would be absolutely devestated. Bees are good.

I never cease to be amazed at who reads this Diary.

At DTD tonight, 4 different people, none of whom ever Post on blonde, remarked how much they enjoyed the St Petersburg pics. I was quite chuffed.

6 or 7 folks also complimentd me on the Sky Poker Show last night - testament to the extended reach Sky Sports has. Extraordinary. I heard the viewing figures today, & I was glad I never realised how many would see it - I'd have bricked it, for sure.

101 runners for the £75 Freezeoit at DTD tonight. Many were up for theGala Biggie, & took the opportunity to sample DTD.

Rare or first-time visitors included Mr & Mrs Tony Chapman, Sparky from Bristol, Mick McCluskey ("Headcase"), & the colourful Bridie, all the way from Ireland.

Mother Hen was in good form, & the atmo, as ever, was grand.

A bit of a hoohah went off, after someone not in the hand put the clock on a player in the Cash-Game. The guy was on the dwell for a £1k+ pot, & a Mr Not-Involved called the clock after 20 or 30 seconds. Words were exchanged, Mr Not-Involved would not let it go, it got hot, & eventually, he was asked if was leaving. Well, told he was leaving. And he left. Yogi has extraordinary authority & presence in these situations, & he remained as cool as a cool thing throughout. Some Team down there, & it's great that, at last, some behavioural standards are being imposed somewhere. The sooner the rest follow, the better.

I did no good in the Comp. Bluffed off a bunch of chips early, never recovered, then found a great spot against Mick McCloskey, & although I went in behind, I was 60%+ post-flop. Not good enough though, & an early bath resulted.

Decided, despite promising myself I would not play DC at DTD whilst Live Straddles were allowed, to take my chances, & the Straddles were almost never in evidence, phew. But I'm bang out of form at DC at the mo, could not do a thing right, never picked up any hands, & only won about two pots all night. Not good.

Mick McCool had a quite remarkable coup. It was 5 card Irish, & 4 players shovelled in nearly £2,200 pre-flop between them. Jeez! Mick won it with two pairs - 6's & 2's! I assume his starting hand must have been big Pair, Suited Ace, & the danglers were the 6 & the 2. Gotta love Danglers.

I got into two big (for me) Pots with Mick, & flopped quads against his flopped House, but he caught the Low & we chopped it. Then I housed up at Super-Stud, & Mick was showing  . Luckily my House included the  , which gave me the nerve to call all-in, he hit his flush, straight, & low, another choppity chop. He won all the other encounters we shared, he's running hot, I'm ice-cold right now.

A lovely evening though, & it's always enjoyable to share a table with Kim Costa.
