Now that you are at journeys end Tikay what will become of your brilliant ramblings? Is that it? Will there be some sort of diary type thing to keep us entertained? fwiw i have thoroughly enjoyed this thread it has had the lot imo.  |

They still do, so far as I can see - but how do you actually stop a player, physically, from reneging? He accepts a Deal from someone else, & says to them "right, as part of the deal, now you go sort out the site I won my seat on".
And I assume (I don't know) that "agents" are in the mix here, & they'd have as much integrity as Football Agents.
They can't, really. Even if the player signs a contract, the poker sites don't really want to get involved in court cases for anything - many of their business models rely on operating in legally grey areas.Precisely - & thus unenforceable, or difficult to enforce, by either Party. If either one or both of the sites operates in a "legally grey area", then the whole legal situation becomes almost worthless. |

I assume what's simply happening is that poker sponsorship is becoming more like that seen in sports such as motor racing - it's non-exclusive. Poker sites would previously put players in restrictive agreements - 'if you take our shilling you can't take anyone else's'. All that's happening now is players are (quite rightly, I think) saying to poker sites 'if you want to give me money to wear a hat with your logo, fine, but you can't tell me what I can wear on my shirt'. Look at this photo of Lewis Hamilton - see how many sponsors he has.  Reminds me of one of the greatest pieces of marketing waste in the history of marketing waste. About 5-6 years ago Coral Eurobet paid (i cant remember the exact amount) around £1-£3 million to have a Coral Eurobet logo on a formula 1 car. The prob was that they didnt realise beforehand that F1 cars go quite fast and that nobody could actually see their logo when the car was moving anything over about 20 miles per hour. |

I am pretty sure the BA story tops that, going back quite a long time ago they used to sponsor a team (not sure who) during a race there was a very serious crash which resulted in a fire, someone @ BA then had the image in their mind of the BA sponsored teams car on fire. What a picture that would make, burning wreckage with a British Airways logo. They pulled their logo's by the next race but had obviously agreed the contract so the money was spent! |

There all sponsors of Vodafone McLaren Mercedes not of Lewis Hamiltons. Vodafone McLaren Mercedes have
been trading in F1 for over 40 Years. |
