I finished work around 0030 last night, & was blissfully pleased to have a Hotel Room just 2 miles away, at Heathrow Jury's Inn.

I wandered into Reception at about 0045, & immediately realised I'd walked into a "scene".

A man was stood at the Check-In Desk, with a confrontational stance, shouting "this is a fucking Muslim Hotel, get me a senior manager, I don't wanna deal with fucking Muslims".

The Check-In Clerk was a young lady of Asian appearance, wearing what appeared to be a Muslim or perhaps Sikh headgear - it was like a bandana, in black. Three other staff were stood nearby, watching, but, oddly passive, saying nothing.

Well, what do you say?

The girl tried to ignore him - "Good Evening Mr Kendall" (I'm a regular there), smoking or non-smoking?".

Mr Stroppy then sidles up to me. "You don't want to be served by her, look at her fucking hat, she's a fucking Muslim". He was clearly either mentally deranged, or, most likely, bladdered.

Now, I'm not into fighting, & I make a point of not engaging with those who can't hold their drink & behave like the cocks they are.

But there is a limit, so I felt I had to say something. I said something like "hey fella, quit with the shit", & he looked at me like he was gonna thwack me. Ooh-er....

At that moment, the reason for the passivity of the Staff became apparent - as three meaty coppers walked in, "OK, what's going on here?", la de da de da.

Phew, result. I was asked if I'd give a Statement if ned be, "yeah, no prob", & that was that, I went to bed.

I'd been in the room 15 minutes, & was in bed watching Johnny Gould doing his splendid Baseball Show, when the room 'phone rang.

It was the Police, could I go downstairs & make a Statement? Sure, sigh.....

It took an hour and a half, but the Copper was very thorough. It appeared our man had been nicked on a "Public Order" offence.

The coppers 2 mates waited while I did the Statement, so that's three coppers, two police cars, & in total, nearly 2 hours of my own time, which I totally resent giving up. In addition, a Police Van came to collect Mr Stroppy. How many Police hours wasted altogether because of that tosser? About 40, allowing for back office paperwork, with more to follow I guess from the CPS peeps get involved. Not fortgetting the hurt & distress to the young girl who was the object of his abuse.

My tolerance level to these pissheads gets lower & lower, & their intrusion into my life gets greater & greater.

I'd sling 'em in a cell for 48 hours, no food, no water, & no gazunder. Next time, double it.

That was just one incident, in one town, on one night. Imagine how many times that happens every week across the UK?

Time for the birch, if I had my way. Or send these cocks on lessons "how to hold my drink", or, even better, but ground-breaking stuff - try drinking a bit less.
