You do realise he only means young, compared to him.

And lets face it, the Statue of Liberty is a young lady compared to Tikay

Jesus H Christ

Take a few days off, and this thread alone has taken me nearly two hours to catch up on.

One small point feels worthy of comment.

With no disrespect to Tighty, Kev, and anyone else, the idea of you, Mr Tikay himself playing on Blonde more would be a big thing to the lower class players like myself.  You are, whether you like it or not, the figurehead of this place, and are the only reason people like me turn up in the first place ( although not the reason we keep coming back, obviously ).

I reckon it could be worked to get more traffic occaisionally.  Personally, I can't invest my meagre 'roll in Blonde until I can get it out of Mansion, but I'll get there, and I'm sure many others would be willing to as well.  It sometimes appears that Blonde poker is a bit of a side issue, rather than a major part of the blonde community.

Thank you, Mr Pants.

With respect, your terminology is inaccurate - you do not mean "lower class players", you mean something else completely. There are various terms in use - Micro-Limit, Newbies, Fun Players, Budget Poker, PokerTainment, but not "lower-class", please!

Those at lower buy-in levels get discriminated against so much, & I'm sensitive about it. Hence blonde, blonde Bash Comps, Sky Poker Live Days, APAT & their low buy-in/DeepStack & Added Value Comps, etc etc.

I don't know the exact %, but at a guess, I'd estimate that over 99% of us play at relatively low buy-in Levels, & yet the 1% get all the attention & added-value.

Almost nobody, certainly very few, make a living at Poker, whereas many of us get a whole lot of fun at it.

We are UPPER-Class!

As to my playing on blonde, thank you for your kind words. It's very hard to see one's self as others see you, & if you add to the mix insecurity, well-deserved humility, (plenty to be humble about) & lack of slf-confidence & you end up with a very odd cocktail.

I'd say more like Argos quality than casino quality tbh, but they do the job.

has there never been a promotion on Blonde involving Tikay? a bounty tourney or regular low stake ring game?

Yes, on numerous occasions. But not for a goodly while, to be honest.

I do not have any firm evidence as to whether it helped or not.

On a slightly more optimistic note, the blonde Cardroom had far & away it's best month for 8 months in September, & we are much relieved & very grateful, for that. Kudos to Kev & Rich, too, for their efforts to increase Cardroom traffic. Fingers are crossed it's the start of a tend, & the graph continues to rise.

There is another oddity to our Cardroom, too, but I'll deal with that seperately.

While we are on a soul-baring exercise as to our Cardroom, let's look at this......

There is another oddity to our Cardroom, too, but I'll deal with that seperately.

Now, a long, long, time ago, we (all of us, on the Open Forum) discussed a very awkard & controversial subject on this Forum.

The blonde "Casino".

You may or may not know, but like almost all Online Cardrooms, blonde has a "Casino" bolted on to our Cardroom. I am not sure (as I don't play Casino Table Games these days), but I believe that includes Roulette & Blackjack, or I assume it does.

All of us, Members included, had a debate about this blonde Online Casino. The question was, should we promote it openly, & commercially, is that morally correct, & in keeping with the community ethic, or should we just keep it low-profile?".

Well, on balance, the Thread came to the view that perhaps it would be better for all if we did not openly promote it, or spam it.

So we did not, & do not. It's never, ever, mentioned by anyone on blonde, be it Kev, (who is in charge of it), Rich, (overall i/c), myself, (this Post  excepted - SPAM!), or the Members.

So what?

Well this.

Despite that total lack of commercial promotion, the blonde Online Casino turns over (relatively speaking) astonishing numbers.

By which I mean, despite the almost total anonimity of it, (it's almost a secret!) the bottom line is that it produces, almost every month, more revenue than our Cardroom, which we (Kev & Rich in particular) spam to death, & work very hard so to do. Bear in kind, of course, two things....

a) Casino "turnover" is an odd thing, as the same amount of money "churns" round a lot of times. I don't know the maths, but $100 can generate thousands & thousands of "turnover".

b) The bit we keep - net profit, if you like - is not impacted by Loyalty Bonus, or whatever form of words we use to describe that beast.

Ever amazed by these numbers - in the circumstances - I have spoken to other Online Cardroom Suits, & they all say the same thing. "Yeah, it's exactly the same with us". It's like a sort of secret cottage industry.

Now isn't that an odd thing?

And I for 1 play your cardroom a lot less then I should because of it.
I know that says more about me - have donked my roll once, never again.
FWIW when winning in the Casino are you(Blonde) 100% liable, i.e does it come from you pockets?

...and talkking of odd things, try this one for size.

I got a PM from Maureen, bla de bla de bla.

Anyway, the upshot was that they had Reece for the day today, & asked him what he would like to do.

"Go to an Indian Restaurant" said the Little Man.

So they went, & he sat there, as bold as brass, chatting to all & sundry, being greeted like the King of England, & eating poppadoms (sp?) merrily.

Now, you have to have frollowed the Reece story all the way to understand that - but most of you have.

The boy is eating. Freely. via mouth. Like a normal lad.

That is a true miracle.

God bless him, & Antonio, & everyone who's sent Karma.
