Well, if even-money is 60%-55%, then odds-on must be 75%-40%, surely?

Thanks for the welcome.
New to Blonde but have been lurking here for a few weeks since becoming an occasional player at the G in Luton. The opportunity to reply to your post finally tempted me to sign up!
Approx 2 years poker experience and would class myself as a very enthusiastic amateur but (hopefully) continuing to improve. Poker highlight to date is winning a National pub Poker League and a GUKPT seat (Brighton 2007) after just 6 months playing. Got through to day 2 and finished c 80th.
Haven't repeated that since!
3 final tables at Luton so far including a 5th place in the £75 Friday before last (the other 4 chopped it just as I went out - so not so lucky!).

Hi Alan,
Firstly - "Alan" - reading betwen the lines, does that mean you are male?
Glad to hear you are running well at Luton, come & say Hi next time you are there please. Half of the Luton regulars are blondes, & I'll introduce you to them. I can think of quite a few of the top of my head - Dingdell, Snat, Red-Dog, TightEnd, Chompy, Celtic, Sicilian, HoldorFold, Gamblor21, Alex Martin, Claw75, Expressman, Matt, loads more. Oh, & Compo. He's easy to recognize - he wears Tesco Suits. Several of the Staff there are "covert" Members, too.

I was that close to playing The Westererern £200 tonight but it never seems to get going till around 9pm. Couldn't face the 5.12am train from Kings Cross after the inevitable deep run. Plus all that lovely tournament stuff going on at the Vic next week, so will wait until then.
GL to any blondies playing, take those rusky fellas down imo

New to Blonde but have been lurking here for a few weeks since becoming an occasional player at the G in Luton.
Was you there the other week when Poker in the Pub held some sort of Tourny?
Welcome to blonde

You had a 75/40 chance and yes, your read is correct! (Male , 49 , Chorleywood, Herts).
Will be sure to say hello next time. (Hopefully, this Friday).

Funnily enough I was there that night but it was for the £30 + bounty tournament, not the pub league event. The league I used to play in was called The Nuts Pub Poker League (the one where the founder appeared on Dragons Den to raise money).
