Not sure if you've seen this but it's a video of a really odd squid filmed deep in the ocean... It even has elbows!

Spotted in Brighton last night, in the company of a beautiful young lady, was Lord Flushy.

Looking at that pic, I am, for some reason, reminded of the FA cup, wearing a coat.

And he got visibly irked when I asked if he had purchased that scarf in Tescos. I checked the label though. "George".

This is the Brighton Rendezvous Cardroom. When Flushy sits at the Cash Game, it heaves with players. He was not playing last night.

We'd agreed on Dinner, Lucy, Flushy, Kev & myself, but Flushy threw us a curve-ball with the start-time of the comp, which was 7.30, not 8, so I had welsh on the promise to buy dinner. Just as welll, it was a Thursday, & I did not have $6k on me.

The £300 at Brighton last night was won by the guy who has rarely been ousted ftom the top of the Sky Poker Leadeboard, and who was at SPUKT in Birmingham recently, "Gerrard9".

And in 4th place last night, on a good night for the Sky guys, was another Sky Poker whizzkid, by the name of "glitterbabe", who was recently described on this Forum as "Gerrard9's elder Sister".

Here are the twosome, gerrard9 (dark top), & glitterbabe.

I assured gerrard9 that I don't actually fancy his "sister". I got the impression that both seemed relieved at that.

Ding held an "Open Day" at one of her Clinics last week & invited me along to gawp at the Beautiful People who were present - & my oh my, there were plenty. I have some wonderful pics of them, but they are not for my use, I need to send them to Tracey, so you are spared them.

But here's Miss Dell, in all her finery.

She said "come look at my new car".

"What is it?" I enquired.

"No idea - it's Italian I think" said she.

I finished about 16th in last night's Brighton £300, a beautifully structured "no excuses" Tourney. Certain to Final in good shape if my Queens held against Eights, the 8-3-3 flop pretty much sealed the deal.

My (work) gig at The Vic on Sunday has been cancelled, so I've stayed down here at Hickstead, & will now play tomorrow's Main Event, a £500, 15,000 chip, "all Levels" affair. I thoroughly enjoyed last night, so maybe I can go a little deeper in the ME.

It's rained all day today down here, lovely "soft" rain, so I went up to the wildfowl reserve & just stayed there for a few hours, & got thoroughly drenched, but nice drenched, watching the fowl come & go.

The Heron was there all day, but he's got me sussed, & every time I got the camera out, he flew off, in that very-slow-flappy-winged way that Herons do.

The Mallards came & went, too - they must be the most ungainly flyers of all the duck family, wings flapping 15 to the dozen.

The ducks - or were they geese? - stayed put, though, never leaving the water.

A lovely day, but I'm sneezing big-time now, & incredibly fatigued. I really must try organizing my sleep pattern better.

PS - Crap photos, I know, but they do the job for me, as memory triggers. Tom is going to organize some binoculars for me, so I can better see wildfowl & suchlike.

I quite liked Holdens first book. The second was not quite so good IMHO. He has a nice style. He should have stuck to novels rather than books on Hold em IMHO

Maybe, Phil, but how did 'Stars come to enter this equation?

Nosey bugger that I am....I am going to ask

Stars paid Holden's entry into the 2007 WSOP and also a few EPT events - they have an established connection with each other.

Thanks Andrew.

How very odd.

I don't recall that Mr Bolt Sir. Geese, in general, don't really go with this eating other birds thing. Geese are used as "guard-dogs" in many parts of Africa, they make a whole lot of noise, but they are harmless I think.

But this pic is, I assume, along the lines of what you were alluding to. The big bugger is, I think, a sparrowhawk (Rod Paradise will confirm), & the not very well one is  - sorry, was - a pigeon.
