The RAF at 90 was shown on BBC4 last night Tony, it's on i player for another 7 days if your interested. There's some excellent colour footage of Fighter and Bomber Command, fascinating stuff.

Thanks Wader. I might have to visit Tom first, to get him to show me how i-player works.
I'd really like to see it.
I heard the most fantastic programme on Radio Four yesterday about something RAF-connected, I must write it up later. I'm glad you reminded me. I need to do some research on it first, find a picture, etc. It was awesome.

For Wader Leg, & those interested in our Armed Services. I'm sure Geo the SArge will enjoy this too, even though it's RAF, not Army.
I cannot really do the story justice, so I'm just going to post a link. It's a long read, so only those really interested should take a look.
It concerns an RAF Chinook Helicopter, call-sign "Bravo November".
On the way to the Falklands Conflict, aboard the Atlantic Conveyor, Bravo November took off on a training flight. Whist in the air, the Atlantic Conveyor was sunk by enemy action, & all the Chinooks sunk with her. So did all the Chinook Spares & Maintenance Manuals......
And thereby begins a most fascinating tale, which includes service in the Falklands, Iraq, Lebanon, Germany, Northern Ireland, Bosnia, & Afghanistan.
For more background, please just google "Bravo November RAF Chinook".
Here's one article.

Afdter finishing my PTP session at Midnight last night, & perhaps encouraged by a total, 100% power failure at home - all electrics went "pop" - I drove across to
DT
D
to bump into a few reprobates.
Here's Big Laz, a very pissed boo, Nakor, Tank (hidden), Fran's rear end (sorry Fran), & the handfull of sandwich you can see far right belongs top "Three Dinner" Red, who had Cottage Pie, Dessert, & then a giant Club Sandwich. Red Finalled, mind.

Tom took this, & asked me to post it. They have new Valets at
DT
D
.
There will be a bit of a mini blonde-Bash at
DT
D
tonight. Laz, boo, Tank, Nakor, Ding, Claw, Red, Fran, Kinboshi, Evil, Chili, & many more besides. I am working in London from 2pm Sunday, gotta leave home about 10am Sunday, so a late night is neither sensible nor desirable, but then again.....

It might well be true that I'm the world's worst bluffer, at Poker, & evidence mounts by the day.
At a good-humoured Luton-G last night, I Raised Pre, bet every street, both of us with decent stacks still behind, & I got called by someone holding - & I can't be arsed to work it out exactly - the 80th nuts.
Can you beat that?
The Board came A-3-T-T-A.
I was called by 8-8.
Does anyone know what "nuts" that is, precisely?
