You won't be visiting chez Chompy imo. I tried to win you for a night but ran kings into aces. It's about time Snatty let someone else have the lever imo.
I would have worn the wig and everything, having retrieved it from the back garden this morning. Last I saw of it last night one of my cats had it in her mouth and took off through the cat flap with it...

my kk was no good against jq.  I lasted 8 minutes.  Had a proper ding moment (hour) though and only just realised the programme on t'telly now is not tonight's game.

Lol, sorry about that Claire. Sky had a Ding moment, too, we had some technical issues at the Studio, so the Live Show never aired, sigh. These things happen, but it was a bit galling tonight of all nights. c-est le vie.

But the Tourney Winner still gets me. For better or worse.....

I read today that on Christmas Day, Eartha Kitt died - she was 81!

In her day, she was as sexy & sultry as they came, a real eye-opener in those days.

She once reduced Lady Bird Johnson to tears, at an offiicial White House Dinner, after some "edgy" comments on the Vietnam war, & was banished from hob-nob society for many years, as a result, but eventually she was accepted back.

I don't know what caused her death - though at 81, I guess it's no surprise.

RIP Miss Kitt.

She lost her battle with colon cancer I believe.

Ahh, thanks.

She was a very big name, in her time.

we've had one for ages:

although I think a 'whoosh' type one would be more appropriate

Yes, RIP Eartha Kitt, the original Catwoman. She will be much remembered for her talent...but not least for the fact her name is forever embedded in cockney rhyming slang. I wonder if she minded that much? A little ironic bowel cancer was her downfall. It's like Hank Marvin dying of hunger or Darren Gough getting bronchitis.

Oi. Unable to think of something better to say as still breathless after being punched in the stomach while going deep in the DTD sattelite for the £300. 11 places gteed, 21 left and I am running with the pack and sitting comfortabley, knowing exactly where I am and feeling great.

Raise in front of me by LAG american, I find queens (unsuited) and reraise to over 50% of his stack. I did the Thewy raise of just picking up a few inches. That type of raise feels very powerful.

He flat calles. Flop comes all low cards, 2 spades, he pushes all in with  , I call and that was all he wrote as he got both the straight and then the flush. It was only a £20 rebuy but he's got a seat and I haven't. Tonight the ding smilie looks like this  .

Goodnight all.
