I've been PTP-ing for just over 6 hours, good fun, did three Live phone-ins to the Show, but I'm knackered now.

I played a Deepstack, only 30 odd runners, 5 paid, & I was in cruise mode all night - never less than 5 x BB .....and eventually got it all-in with 9-T. on a flop of T-J-Q, not the worst flop for my hand, but it don't play too well against AK. Another Bubble on my impressive Bubble CV.

I also played the Bounty Hunter, & had the most spectacular of Exits. I gay bet to induce shove (yo) with Aces, and got TWO shovers behind me. Happy days. After some careful consideration, I made the Call.

I had

Shover 1 had

Shover 2 had

So we are chopping or joint 2nd, come what may. Ish.

The Board came 4 spades, & I came plum last. The Rail was full of "ul tikay", but how can you not smile at these sort of car crash hands?

This weekend's DTD £300-er looks a corker, ram-chock full of blondes, & I'm a bit disappointed to miss it, but there it is, these things happen, I can't be in 2 places at once. Good Luck to them all. At least 3 of the field are not Flushy's horses. From his stable, I go for Rooks or Le Knave.

Now, I need to get across to that "changes to the blonde Loyalty Scheme" Thread, it needs a bit of balance. That's the next 2 hours accounted for, min. Ah well, needs must as the devil drives.

Before I do, though.....

I only learned today that three weks ago, Loucas Haji Ioannou passed away. The Obits suggested he was the biggest private owner of oil tankers & dry cargo vessels in the world, but I believe Achilleas Kalakkis has a far larger fleet.

But Loucas was a very good businessman indeed. He's more famous for being the father of Stelios, who is credited with founding the "Easyjet" & "easy" empire. In fact, son Stelios took a nice lump sum from his Dad to start EasyJet, & messed up many of his businesses, I dont think he even has control at Easyjet these days. I'd back Michael over at Ryanair over Stelios every time.

RIP Loucas.

Haha..I'm still giggling.  One of your earlier posts about intrawebs poker speak inspired me to write a "how times have changed" blog. I hope you don't mind me stealing your quote for my picture.

Ahh, sorry. On reflection, I cannot imagine Flushy backing someone called Dave Jones. Though he is far & away the best of the boys. Mark my words, he is.

That I likez. I'm trying to weave "non-habitual floaters" into a thread, Post or convo, but I'm struggling. Gimme time.

Alex can talk for England, he just struggles with the basic theories of poker, & panics when he gets down to 8 or 10 x BB's.

Hod did it go at Walsall? I heard 136 runners, that's well impressive.

148 runners in the end, with a 45 clock all the way through - your source must have been scared of you Tikay!

Was nice to put some more faces to names meeting Singhee briefly towards the end of the evening.  I was sat next to Mantis for the first few hours - what a nice young man, and very handsome too!!  I played a hand spectacularly badly during level 1, and have given him permission to write an essay about how shit I was Grin

Schucks. I swear to God, still being called young man at 35 means I now officially love you Claire.

Agreed UTG was ropey, but not nearly as bad as calling with 6-6 when UTG pushes with obv monster hand. Smiley

Only play  on the button instead cos we both know it's the nutz. It was good to meet you, and you played well throughout imo.

For those who do not visit the Internet Staking Board, there was much celebration last night after two of Flushy's horses, Rooks & Action Man, chopped a tidy Online Comp. They finished 1-2 - how good is that? - & took around $5k each.

Rooks had about a 6-1 chip lead, but they chopped it 50-50. Proper blokes them.

Well done all three. Rick & Rooks worked hard, Flushy just sat there & said "WIN IT".

Yes, soz, I omitted to mention Rich.

blonde are blessed to have so many young Upstarts, & with Old Skool grinders like me to give them tips on how to play the Game. 5xBB is plenty, for example.

Jones is minted because he's good - I was never more impressed with an Upstart than his marathon grind in the DTD Anniversary Cup. He has serious potential to be an Old Skool Grinder - the very pinnacle of poker. He's a serial floater, obv, yo.
